Would Donald Trump’s tariffs hurt US consumers?
I dislike tariffs as much as you, but I don't think you can label them as a socialist policy. It's more like a consumption tax without any protection from it for those who can least afford to pay it. I would call tariffs a mafia policy, like extortion or a 'protection' racket. -

Coverting O / OA visa to a parent visa from within Thailand
No. Seems visa exempt entry. Was it border bounce? Previously eg roster workers were living Thailand visa exempt entries. Immigration at Thai airports seem now to question this. On face value thinking continue with Agent not bad idea. You did not answer which immigration office (unless I missed it) -
