Donald Trump has NO mandate -- not for his election and not for his extremist policies

Here is the proof:

It's impossible not to notice that the maga pro autocracy cult sore winners have been indulging in a nauseating virtual orgy of gloating and are trying to gaslight the masses that Trump has BOTH a mandate in votes AND a mandate for his extremist policies. But that is another Trumpist BIG LIE and don't y'all ever forget it.

To be clear, Trump did win. There is no doubt.

But winning and having a mandate in votes and for extremist policies are NOT the same thing.

So take note.

Pay attention to this going forward.

So for example when Trump calls up the MILITARY against his own people to help with his mass deportations or calls for national guards to cross state lines (from red to blue states in true civil war fashion) be clear, the majority never wanted things to get that extreme.

  • Noted. Lol Much of what trump wants to do has mainstream support anyway. Just because you don't think it is a mandate it was still wholesale repudiation of the nutty wokesters.

As well as a testament to how awful a candidate word-salad Harris was.

You can't know that.   Maybe that's exactly what the majority of sane Americans want.

Well that's half the story. Their policies were as bad as the candidate herself. She had to hide from the camera because they couldn't showcase her. In turn she had to avoid talking about any policy and hide them like herpes.

They can't go on stage and simply have an honest conversation because their platform and planks are so extreme and unpopular.

Are you saying there is no cure for Harris, word salad, or her policies which could not differ from Joe Biden's policies despite being unburdened from what might have been?

No matter what treatment is applied to the American polity, the disease will return?

I guess I am saying Trump's win is strong enough to be a mandate not because of how big his win was, but because of how nutty and feckless his opponents are. The credibility of the dems is less than nothing at this point.

I will admit, I didn't watch as I know it will be more opinion from a guy who doesn't  have a clue since it was posted by a guy who doesn't have a clue.  Oh and please forgive me if I used the wrong pronoun for either of you

So why comment at all based on ad hominem? That's like reviewing a movie you haven't watched. Willful prideful ignorance.

I guess at least he's staying on topic then. 🤷‍♂️

Haaha, a tv watcher under 25? Pronouns? Really? Mandates dont mean a thing. They arent law, merely a suggestion by an unqualified thief with financial ties

Yeah right, calling up the military for mass deportations of illegal aliens is not an implement against its own people, it’s against ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Now, pay attention going forward.

Trumps people cross all lines. Break the law, pay the price. If youre innocent, you have no worries.

So you think citizens won't be effected by such actions? Of course they will.

Yes the election is over.

Trump 2.0 is just getting started.

Allowing people to push a false mandate narrative without pushback is unwise.

Trump was given a mandate to be President. The mandate includes the use of all powers and authority that attaches  to the Presidency.

Trump was not given a mandate to violate the US Constitution or to engage in bullying, or illegal acts.

Trump will be able to carry out his mandate using his legitimate and legal powers. The moment his administration violates the US Constitution and/or engages in illegal acts, he will be challenged. Trump cannot suspend the US Constitution. Many of the   claims of extremist actions, are just that, claims. To date, Trump has been following the rules. It is his right to choose cabinet officials, even if some are woefully bad. And btw, he's picked some very solid people too. It's a shame that the focus is on a few duds, when some are going to be good cabinet secretaries.

Not sure what the purpose of this topic is. You need to stop blaming Trump and start blaming his voters for what's about to happen, it's not like he's made any effort to conceal his plans - and they voted him in again anyway.

Democracy is failing not because of the bad things that Trump will do, but because enough people voted for him anyway, for a variety of reasons (not least the painful process of swapping out Joe Biden last-minute).

Trump has definitely not been following the rules and you don't even know the definition of mandate.

Rubbish. Democracy obviously worked by way of an election where the majority of voters voted for change. Your fear mongering, speculative rhetoric based on what MSNBC and the rest of the MSM tells you to believe holds no legitimacy.

You're getting into another topic. How this happened. Well it did happen and the fact remains Trump does not enjoy majority support.for the more extremist of his announced politicies.

Well the good news is that we'll all see about that. Very soon.

In representative democracies, a mandate is a perceived legitimacy to rule through popular support. Mandates are conveyed through elections, in which voters choose political parties and candidates based on their own policy preferences. The election results are then interpreted to determine which policies are popularly supported. A majority government provides a clear mandate,....

Policywise his real mandate is limited to make things cheaper. Not the crazy stuff. Good luck with that.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/11/26/trump-mandate-cabinet-nominees/

This is Trump’s real ‘mandate’

No, Trump doesn’t have a mandate for his extreme agenda.

Donald Trump apparently has an all-purpose, get-out-of-jail-free card: his “mandate.”

“America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,” the president-elect declared on election night. His allies have since repeated this talking point to deflect any criticism of Trump’s choices. Apparently his “mandate” can include anything Trump dreams up, no matter how objectionable, authoritarian or corrupt.

They should have stuck with Biden, screwing him over lost it for them. Meh.
