Another busy 'high season' coming up.
Samui is at maximum number of flights now - 50 in and 50 out. First flight out at 06.45. And the roads are a battleground. Allow extra time for journeys. The road from Choengmon to departures at the airport is still flooded. Almost knee deep. I had to push the bike through the last 10 metres. Soon dried out though. Only large 4 x 4 trucks were getting through. (And one crazy Brit on a bike.) -

Giving Up Weed
I think it can be addicting . Maybe just doing it with friends is addicting. I never smoked alone when I was younger. my mind goes off wandering so for me it would be dangerous to drive. Also it puts you in a different mind state. So for example if I clean and rearrange my garage while high I can't find things when not high. I enjoy the creative ideas I get if I can remember them. -

Amnesty International "It's a Genocide in Gaza"
Your losing the plot, your forgetting the danger that Hamas terrorists pose to International journalists, they'd love to kidnap a few of them. Its not like Hamas dress in combat clothes, they mingle among the civilians. Blind you really are. -

Elections Watchdog Urges Legal Reforms to Block Potential £80 Million Elon Musk Donation
Personally I think that Reform would be foolish to accept funds from Musk - particularly in view of the way he has inveigled himself, without any electoral participation or confirmation, into the highest echelons of the incoming US administration. I think it would backfire spectacularly with the British Electorate, particularly that part of it which Reform is courting. However I think that the Electoral Commission would be immediately better employed reviewing the suggestions by government that a number of local elections should be cancelled in the spring of 2025 - that, I would suggest, is at least as great a threat to the integrity of the democratic process in the UK as interference by Musk. -

Here's what happens when the world's richest man buys the presidency
The method of communicating on these devices we are using now was invented by a British Scientist. Tim Berners-Lee began writing WorldWideWeb, the first web browser, after two years of lobbying CERN management. By Christmas 1990, Berners-Lee had built all the tools necessary for a working Web: the HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) 0.9, the HyperText Markup Language (HTML), the first Web browser (which was also an HTML editor and could access Usenet newsgroups and FTP files), the first HTTP server software (later known as CERN httpd), the first web server, and the first Web pages that described the project itself Internet - Wikipedia
