....I thought there was no sex industry or prostitution in Pattaya??
That's always been the official line, hasn't it?
Or is someone telling porky pies?
Many middle-class Thais have been saving money in banks that offer almost no interest, and that looks like their savings will decline as inflation surpasses interest rates (depending on ow much the government wants to go down).
Without pensions here (except government employees), how are people supposed to save for retirement?
Encouraging more debt through low interest loans will do more to hurt than help.
If they want to lower lending rates, the least they can do is offer some kind of saving scheme with better, and low risk, returns.
Some would disagree
Thai food street stalls ?
What is cheaper, what is more expensive, obviously rent thankyou very much !!!!!
If you are forced to live on Thai street-food, you can't afford Bangkok or Thailand in general.
Bangkok is more expensive in virtually every aspect - its basic economics and bid-rent theory.
And yes - even the Thai street food is more expensive in Bangkok compared to other cities.
Only in area's of high tourist footfall is the price higher, in those same cities (i.e Pattaya) away from the tourist area's the price is more competitive and cheaper than the general prices in Bangkok.
Don't give up the day job. You are pants at comedy.
BTW, washing machines in the 60s didn't have electrical components that could be used in nukes, unless Russian nukes used wringers.
That's why I said the figure of 40%, which is what seems to be getting social media in a tizzy, was from a X by Musk. Are you saying the social media frenzy was over a raise of 4% which would be their first raise since 2009? Do you consider 4% over the last 15 years to be a vast increase in pay? Maybe you are getting several different reports confused?
