Popular Post LosLobo Posted April 30 Popular Post Posted April 30 Just started watching Hitler's Power (TV Series 2023– ) - IMDb 7.3/10. This historical series explores Hitler’s rise to power, including his early life, political tactics, and the machinery of control he built in Nazi Germany. With so much conversation around Hitler resurfacing online, it’s a timely and thought-provoking watch for anyone interested in history, psychology, or political power. 1 2

I’ve watched the first two episodes, and they seem to align with my general understanding of Hitler’s rise to power — though I’m no expert. From what I can tell, it doesn’t appear politically biased, just historically grounded. I particularly enjoyed the mix of original color and black-and-white footage. Definitely worth watching and deciding for yourself. 2

Popular Post xylophone Posted May 2 Popular Post Posted May 2 Decided to have a look at a few movies in which Tom Hardy starred, so the first one I watched was, "The Drop" which also starred James Gandolfini and Noomi Rapace and was slow-paced enjoyable movie which I had seen before but couldn't remember much about. I then moved on to "The Revenant" starring Hardy as well as Leonardo DiCaprio and I have to say that DiCaprio's acting was superb and I didn't realise that the first time round, but this time it became obvious with a more detailed viewing. This must rank as one of the best movies of recent decades. Watching it again, I picked up a few things I hadn't noticed previously, so am pleased for my rewatch! "Lawless" is next on my list, although it's worthwhile mentioning an extremely good movie starring Tom Hardy alone, which takes place almost exclusively whilst he is driving his car, called "Locke " and it would have to be an exceptional movie based on this alone. Worth a look if you haven't seen it. 2 1

Others with TH in which are worth watching include (but not limited to) Rock'N'rolla, Warrior, Peaky Blinders, Taboo, Legend & a few others. I haven't watched Havoc or Mobland yet. 1 3

KannikaP Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Right now on SKY Arts is a concert by The Doors, what a load of 5hit3, to be followed by Brian Wilson from 2016 in Switzerland. Nice knowing that Brian survived. It will be like chalk and cheese.
faraday Posted May 4 Posted May 4 Anyone watch Mobland ep 6 yet? It's getting really good. Harry is, of course fantastic. 1

oxo1947 Posted May 5 Posted May 5 I watched yesterday---- I think it might be getting a bit silly--(-you know without spoilers) many men with machine Guns etc----what chance do they stand against Harry and his pistol- -------- Gangs of London on third season I think more realistic...... But its still watchable. Just started Friends and Neighbors---starts slow but watchable--- after getting the sack and living in an upmarket area, decides maybe robbing his Friends and Neighbors---might be a way to finance himself
