I started watching Your Friends and Neighbors on Apple TV+ last night.  I think I watched three episodes, and so far, it's pretty good.

A comedy? A holocaust movie? Neither. Refreshingly original hard to categorize movie showcasing the talents of Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin (yes brother of the Home Alone guy).

This looks wonderful - I just watched Life is Beautiful - - Benigno... great movie

Haven't seen the movie, but the book was so very good.

Another Bosch spin off starting July.

Maggie Q.  She's American but she started her career in Hong Kong actions movies. Not a great actress but, nevertheless, I always liked her.

A few posts back someone mentioned the documentary, "They shall not grow old" and I have seen it and IMO it is very good, and that also leads me onto some other Peter Jackson movies which you may or may not have seen, and I post this mainly because I think he is an excellent director and not only because of his "Lord of the Rings" movies.

The two movies I particularly like of his are one made in the late 90s, called "What Dreams may Come", starring Robin Williams and I have to admit that one of my favourites is, "The Lovely Bones" which stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci and Saoirse Ronan.

If you haven't seen them, I urge you to give them a try!! And I'm going to do the same again!!

OOPS my bad.....the movie, "What Dreams May Come" was directed by Vincent Ward, another NZ Director who also produced a film that I liked, called, "The Navigator", and not by Peter Jackson!

I might give them a try, thanks!

I have a pair, never again. The ear pads fake plastic covers disintegrate in the tropics, unless you have a small head the fit it too tight and is uncomfortable, get just as good a sound and more comfortable fit out of ear buds at under half the price. YMMV.

And the hypocracy ...

Expensive is relative but my Sennheiser HD450BT have served me well over the last few years. Nice crisp, bassy sound with good battery life, fast charging, and can be used while charging. Circa B6000 over here.

Was back in the UK recently and bought a new set of earpads for them. Improved the sound and comfort a lot. Very snazzy but a bit of a pain to fit 😊

I had these and they did last a number of years. Located in the draw after long time use.

This was excellent.

The Girl Who Caught A Killer

Tells the true story of Rachael Watts, who breaks her silence after thirty years.

Featuring never-before-seen police footage and first-hand testimony, this two-part series uncovers how one survivor helped expose the truth.

A film well known for its one liners. Colour Sergeant Bourne in the movie is played by a middle aged Nigel Greene, as a rather fatherly character. In reality, Bourne was 24 years old. Astonishing.

Bourne was the youngest colour sergeant in the British army at that time.  He went on to have a long and successful career in the army, retiring with the rank of Lt. Colonel.

The movie Zulu was great entertainment and accurately portrayed the intensity of the Battle of Rorke's Drift,  but got a number of details of the battle wrong.  That's OK by me- Zulu is based on fact, it doesn't pretend to be a documentary.

The preclude to Zulu, covering the Battle of Isandlwana in which 1,300 British soldiers were massacred, is available free on YouTube as Zulu Dawn.  Isandlwana was the worst defeat by indigenous troops the British army  ever suffered and the Zulus did it without rifles but with overwhelming numerical superiority. It's worth watching, but nowhere near as good a movie as Zulu.
