Hopefully the reclassification has been shelved.

Thank Mr Anutin for that.  His pockets are still full.

The racism here is getting out of control. Listen, if you can speak French then you _are_ French. I can bark, therefore I am dog. Understand? It's that simple.

nonsense ....  I consider a persons authentitcy by where they were born and raised.  Not by your list.

I consider a persons authentitcy by there original birth and heritage,  not a black french man or a coloured British guy.    I don't care for your list ...  same as many others don't

'my list' is not actually my list its 'a list' of shared nationality-origins within any single nation - there is no question of it, the list is factual information.

On the other hand, your 'consideration' is just something you think and open to 'your' interpretation, so its something personal to you rather than anything real.

You may not 'consider' Chinese-Thai's to be authentic Thai's - but the fact that they have a Thai Passport means the Law does... the same with Albanian-French etc...  Or, Nigerian-British etc..

Its up to you what you think of course, and its irrelevant if you don't care for my 'accurate list'... but it is relevant that you are incorrect if you are assuming whatever 'you' think has any official or 'authentic' meaning beyond your own internal thoughts.

but how many Thai's do the BiB try and stop at these check points ???

Many times more Thais are stopped at checkpoints around Thailand everyday than foreigners. The vast majority of checkpoints would hardly have a foreigner going through them.

i am always waved through while the Thais on motorcycles are stopped.

To think that more foreigners than Thais pay these fines or bribes daily in Thailand makes me think you are suffering from delusional paranoia.

anyway cute you are also apologizing for the French.

Perhaps in area's outside of the main tourist hubs...   I don't think there is a general pattern that fits the whole nation.

For example, when driving or riding in Bangkok - the Police are simply not interested in me, I have hardly ever been stopped at a check-point - the same can very likely be said for other area's away from tourist footfall, smaller towns etc.

But, there are a lot of comments from posters who live in area's such as Pattaya and Phuket which makes it obvious that the police are more 'calculated' in how they can best profit from their check-points.

Its obvious they've worked out that many 'tourists' in these area's do not have the correct licenses etc - its a very quick money earner - if YOU don't think this to be true Malcy the delusional Thai-apologist in you is once again unmistakable, no surprise there.

no.  It was just a question.  I was just curious.

So you just threw in a question that has absolutely no relevance to the story or anything else that has been discussed in this thread.

How very weird of you.

I have been stopped innumerable times, particularly when I lived in Bangkok.

One time, a police officer jumped out from behind a car trying to grab my arm causing me to swerve like an insane game of tick. I razzed off without thinking. That was the only time I ran a police checkpoint. It was on Ratchadamri, I think, by the old Cambodian embassy. It was very exciting. I thought they would catch me at the next junction so I quickly turned left. I got away with it!

Depends on the location and timing. On the road between kata and rawai around 22.00 they stop many foreigners, looking for dui and license offences. On a checkpoint like this around 01.00 DUI and weapons and drugs, many Thai are stopped.

The headline! 🤣🤣🤣. I was wondering how these French men were getting away with running a traffic check point 🤣🤣🤣🤣.... running it implies they impersonated police. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

My question was about getting rid of the party hardy guys that roam around Phuket, which these 5 Frenchmen were probably doing to run a police checkpoint.  I am just guessing they were partying,  maybe they were going to church in a hurry.   I live in Phuket and there are so many pot shops it is unbelievable.  Some open 24 hours a day.  And you can't buy booze 24 hours a day can you?  Just in Rawai on Sai Yuan Road, I counted about 30 in a short drive.  So yes, drugs and alcohol control are relevant to the story because these guys were "probably" imbibing in something.  Now I am not saying I'm against weed, but it definitely contributes to the mayhem that is prevalent in Phuket right now.   In my humble opinion.

Total speculation.

There was no mention of drugs or alcohol on the story.

Why don't you just say that the were probable fleeing a murder or bank robbery, as that isn't suggested in the story either.

You are just filling in the blanks to fit your narrative without any evidence whatsoever.

Pathetic.

I have done no such thing.

I called you actions weird and pathetic, not you.

You really should learn to understand the post before blindly replying to it and making false accusations.

Are you suggesting that alcohol can't be bought in advance and drank at any time??????

Now I am not saying I'm against weed

Then why did you bring it into the discussion when it has absolutely no relevance to the story.

yes, drugs and alcohol control are relevant to the story because these guys were "probably" imbibing in something

Again, pure speculation on your behalf, with no suggestion of this in the story,

but it definitely contributes to the mayhem that is prevalent in Phuket right now.

Definitely?????

What mayhem can you prove that has been caused by weed in Phuket.

Please post a credible source showing this and I will reciprocate with 10 news articles of alcohol fueled mayhem to each that you provide.

In my humble opinion.

Yes, that is all that it all that is, your opinion.

As I have already stated, there is no mention or even a suggestion of weed in the story.

You bought this to the thread, without cause and reason.

Your hatred/fear of weed shines through.
