What US made items have you purchased that werent quality?

When I was shaving every day, a Fusion blade lasted over a month. It does not seem like something where a large cost savings is going to be found. 

 

That said, I always shave after a shower and use Cremo shave cream, which I think makes the blades last longer. 

 

Now that I am retired, I use a trimmer to keep a short beard and just shave my neck about once a week. I do not remember the last time I had to change blades. 

 

I find the disposables generally cr*p, but okay in a pinch. I've tried a few of the Dorco products, but I did not like them as well as the fusion. I have an old Parker double-edge I would break out on special occasions, but I don't have those much anymore, and I do not see well enough without my glasses to use it. I can shave blind with the fusion.

I bought these at Big C a while ago, they were 89 baht, and are excellent. Since price has changed and they are now 99 (sometimes 89) for a set of 3.

Nothing but Gillette products on that link.

I switched back to the old style safety razor a few years ago and found it to be a better shave than all the fancy multi-blade ones. 
I use a Japanese brand called Feather, which has a range of razors from pretty cheap (around 300thb) to top of the range style stuff. I have been using the cheap one for almost 4 years now, and it’s still works perfectly. 
For blades, I use either Feather or Derby and they are easy and cheap to order a hundred or so from Lazada at a time for around 600thb. I get about 5 shaves out of a blade. 

So, for me, excellent shave and much cheaper than the Gillette et al. 
A decent quality shaving brush and good shaving soap add to the quality of the shave, in my experience. 

Dont buy any online as most are copy i was Shick twin user until they became harder to buy I found the BIC disposable twin perfect and get 4 weeks out of one

There will be people who tell you there is a better alternative or who fetishize old fashioned razors and the rituals surrounding them but they are wrong, wrong, wrong.

Buy a Norelco shaver. I ordered mine from Amazon. 55 Dollars and it is almost as smooth as a razor. The blades change once a year for 25 Dollars.

Agree. Nothing compares. Even using a safety razor would probably be better than one of these rubbish plastic razors

You don't have to worry about it because Gillette fusion is about five times more expensive here than anywhere else in the world.

I have said this before, but will repeat it. Keep the razor head in a small cup of vegetable oil to prevent the cutting edge from oxidising, which is what blunts it. I get at least 30 shaves from one blade.

I can get a closer shave with my old Parker double-edge, but it's not nearly as fast and easy as using the Fusion. 

 

I like a razor with a heft in the handle and hate the feel of using a plastic razor.

Watson razors are awful . Blunt before you even use them. Boots are a little better. Shavy wernt too bad but I can't find them these days. Bic not great so I've gone back to the expensive but best by far Gillette. 

'Harry's Razors.'   Buy once and never look back.

Three cartridges last me about a year, BUT....  I do strop them between uses. That is the key to getting a really comfortable shave. I also use them with a shaving gel rather than a soap.
You can strop on the palm of your hand, or use an old leather belt. Both work well and triple the lifespan of any blade.

They are made in Usa, Germany, Russia and China, I'm many other places as well.

 

The worst Gillette blades I buy, is most likely produced in China and sold here in Thailand.

 

There is a major difference from what I bought in Norway and those I buy here. Even more expensive here, so I always brings a pack with me.
