Why can’t I react to certain news reports.

Featured Replies

I have noticed that since a certain time and the change in ASEAN Now, that I cannot react to many posts, and I cannot post an answer of my own ! Is this screening ? Is it normal my posts are ignored and refused while there are many similar posts on the same subject ?

Sometimes  there is problems with the emoji reactions  most times trying again later will work  but other times you can't give emoji reactions because the post has actually been removed or hidden..if you refresh the page you'll see the post gone.

Perhaps the same sort of thing is happening to you when trying to post  are you including quotes from the original  poster ?

Of course if the thread is locked then no one can reply anymore.

@geisha This has never happened to me.

With what post did you experience this? I would like to see if it also happens to me with the same post.

Often, and too many to mention, diverse subjects, mouthing controversial, and a message « You cannot reply . »

I forgot to mention there was a period where the forum or my web browser was logging me out silently

and so obviously could could not comment then.

A link to an example would still have been helpful.

As it stands, you seem to refer to locked topics to which nobody can reply, except perhaps an administrator or moderator. Therefore, it's nothing personal directed at you.

@geisha This is an example of a topic to which you and I and everyone else cannot reply:

It has this notice in red at the bottom:

This topic is now closed to further replies

Is this the type of topic you're talking about?

It sounds like you may be looking at cached pages on your computer from previous visits, but the time you try to comment you are not actually logged in.

Not being logged in to your account would stop you from posting.

The other reason would be the topic is locked to comment. Moderator action,Sensitive subjects and Suicides etc.

No the posts I wanted to répond to  were not blocked. They were open and continued. Next time I’ll note it and post my question.
