The black attire makes the little girly man look tougher. Trump should have punched him and kicked him out.

Utterly disgusting Putin lap-boy troll posting again. Zelensky's photo in a suit was taken in 2019 before the Russians invaded and continue to attack the whole of Ukraine. Like Churchill he is support

...and if the price of straightening out Trump and Vance is more war and more Ukranians dying, so what.  At least Zelensky could look tough for his fanboys in Europe.

NOT a great attitude for the leader of a country desperate for assistance.

While trump and vance have a good attitude towards a country  that has been invaded by another world leader with an impeccable attitude.

always amazed at how conservative middle American can be - I've been to weddings and conferences over the years and appalled at how drably people dress - everyone in monochrome suits and fibreglass hair and teeth.

Nice try. First, Churchill was a military veteran, Zelensky is not. Second, this unknown photo was NOT taken at a formal meeting between heads of state. For those, Churchill dressed appropriately. Third, this was NOT Churchill's dailly attire. Zelensky seems enamored with appearing like a tough guy.

A boilersuit wasn't a military uniform, it was a military style uniform.

You don't know what Zelensky's daily attire is. You only know what he wears to the office from the publicity photos.

When Churchill traveled to Washington in 1942, his attire was a mix of the so-called Siren Suit and a Naval Peacoat, devoid of badges and rank.

Why does the American President continuously try and pretend to be a baseball player wearing a cheap hat? After he stepped out of the Oval Office, he reached right away to pop on tha $4.99 plus tax hat.

And if wearing slovenly dress at a formal meeting between heads of state, why does  the President seem enamoured with appearing like a double glazing salesman in a cheap suit?

An undone jacket while inspecting the guard is the height of insult.

Why the silver spoon? A metaphor? Normal people dip the KFC in the gravy, and a wood spork for the coleslaw/beans side Plus a pile of salt and pepper sachets, not fancy shakers. And who takes a knife and fork to the KFC?

To repeat... yes, Churchill wore a siren suit at times during the war. But he didnt wear it when meeting Stalin or Roosevelt in formal settings, did he? He was couth enough to dress for the occasion.

He had sveral siren suits made up, modeled on a bricklayers out, some in velvet, some even pinstripe. He used to like wearing them before the war, as bricklaying was a hobby of his. It was not military attire, but his attempt to show solidarity with ordinary people on the Home Front.

Meeting Stalin at the Kremlin in 1942

Churchill did wear his Siren suit when meeting the President in the Whitehouse. Cameras weren't allowed in. We know because the press photographers were out on the lawn, when Churchill came out to walk Rooselvelt's dog , Fala, accompanied by a naval aid, captured by Life magazine

While he recognised the utiity of the suit to galvanize opinion during the Battle of Britain, he continued to wear them throughout the war and even kept wearing them after the war.

Exactly. Zelensky received a formal invite. He recounted the journey took 12 hours by train across Ukraine, followed by an 11 hour flight.

The furore over a deal worth half a trillion dollars to the United States was not because he wore a Fruit of the Loom sweatshirt. Many commentator on this forum remark that the United States is effectively bankrupt, when speaking in support of the current American President's policies.

Next time maybe Zelenskyy will borrow a suit from Elon, since Elon doesn't seem to wear any he owns, even in the Oval Office.

Zelenskyy might also bring along a kid to wipe boogers on the Resolute Desk, too, as that seems to be a MAGA tribute.

The planned and rehearsed attack on Zelenskyy is funny, given Zelenskyy was the only real man in the entire room. The loud mouth fat guy would disgrace his Depends if he ever went through what Zelenskyy must endure back home under constant threat of assassination.

Then he insults the top two guys and proves he is a little man playing celebrity instead of ending the war. They used to be part of Austria and Poland. They are Slavs. He is a celebrity war monger hailed by the left. Orange man bad here's a cartoon.

Gets very obvious that this forum is infested with old leftish people who live mainly under a stone. You can see this with all the things taking place, similar to covid etc. Their opinions are worthless, they dislike facts and truths ec. Well, it is going to be a tough few years to come for you type of guys then.

The fat ginger guy wouldn't be anywhere near the area Zelensky needs to be, ginger's  heal spurs wouldn't allow it.

I sat an examination on US-UK relations in WW2 in my finals at Cambridge University.

i don't know what point you are making so I will make it for you.The Lend Lease example is in fact interesting and it demonstrates that the wartime relationship between FDR and WSC was often far from chummy. The US squeezed the UK with outrageous terms for financial/military support before Pearl Harbor.Loans were still being paid off by the UK until very recently.WSC and FDR were both aristocrats and men of enormous charisma/stature unlike Trump/Vance, but perhaps there was more in common with the Ukraine situation than people like me like to think. The US and probably all great powers are driven by self interest not sentiment. As Charles de Gaulle pointed out, The State is a cold monster, ie only acts in its own interests. Finally FDR and the US were not keen on imperialism (unless it was their own) and resented American blood/treasure being spent to save the British Empire.
