Popular Post Social Media Posted March 13 Popular Post Posted March 13 A senior Kremlin official rejected the idea of a temporary ceasefire, as proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump's administration, saying Russia was only interested in a long-term resolution of the Ukraine conflict, Russian media reported. Yuri Ushakov, an aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin, gave an interview to the Russia-1 TV channel. "We believe that our goal is a long-term peaceful settlement, we strive for this, a peaceful settlement that takes into account the legitimate interests of our country, our well-known concerns," Ushakov said, Interfax reported. "It seems to me that no one needs any steps that imitate peaceful actions in this situation." Ukashov said Putin may speak today on "more specific and substantive assessments" around the ceasefire proposal, Meduza reported. The U.S. and Ukraine agreed on a 30-day ceasefire plan during their talks in Saudi Arabia. The Trump Administration is now taking that proposal to the Russians. Trump wants to see a quick peace in Ukraine. He has criticized the vast destruction and loss of life, as well as the huge cost to American taxpayers of backing Ukraine's defense. Popular Post LiamB80 Posted March 13 Popular Post Posted March 13 Why would Putin agree to that anyway? He’s got Ukraine on the ropes, he might just take the whole thing. Biden’s gone and Zelensky is fresh out of American friends. Europeans are too cowardly to put troops in Ukraine and fight Putin on their own. Which they should be doing. Instead they beg a country across the ocean for help. 3 3 8 2 5 4 6

It's not really so much that they are too cowardly its more that they have already sent Ukraine everything they had and are now broke + record low actual soldiers in boots that could go fight the "dastardly" Russians even if they wanted to. 2 6 1 1 2

Broke yes in a military sense having sent all they had to Ukraine and broke yes in the fact they can not replenish their armaments in a time frame that would "save" Ukraine and broke as in they have to use very expensive energy and broke as in they don't have the soldiers in boots to take on Russia even if they want to...nothing to do with interest rates !!! 2 1 2 1

Popular Post Hellfire Posted March 13 Popular Post Posted March 13 First, you betray your ally by stabbing them in the back, showing the enemy that they can proceed without fearing your interference. Then, you declare that your (now former) ally had no chance anyway. What is this called? I’m afraid I can’t find any polite words for it. 4 3 1 2 4
Popular Post dinsdale Posted March 13 Popular Post Posted March 13 I was wrong earlier on saying it would happen and happen quickly. Putin wants and end to the war but with the Kursk salient collapsing I wouldn't be surprised that once Ukraine has lost this completely, which is coming soon, that Putin moves into the Sumy Oblast in retaliation. Apart from this it will be interesting to see what Trump has up his sleeve. 1 4 2 1 1 1

Ukraine cannot win without massive amounts of military assistance that simply won't be coming it's way. Putin doesn't want all of Ukraine. This would be impossible and be Russia's next Afghanistan. 3 1 3 4

As I pointed out on another thread the devastating consequences are economic in nature not military. Above I said let's see what Trump has up his sleeve which is what all sane people are now waiting on. Those with the frothing at the mouth Trump hatred will continue to post nonsense I'm sure. Let's see what happens. This is a very, very complex situation at the highest levels of global politics. 2 1 1 2 4

I just can't get over the child like nature of what's coming out from these idiots but it's child like with absolute hate. Very disturbing indeed. 1 2 1 1 4
Popular Post SiSePuede419 Posted March 13 Popular Post Posted March 13 1) Trump calls up Putin and tells him to get out of Ukraine or all hell will break loose. 2) SLAM down the phone. 3) If Putin does nothing, send a massive overwhelming shock and awe fleet of almost everything we got flying over Ukraine and dropping enough bombs on Russian troops occupying Ukraine to turn the whole area into rubble. Any questions how a strong leader not a cowardly Russian Agent acts? 😀 1 3 3 2 1
