FlorC Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Weird , 2 days after it happened , no news here. Tragic Accident: Oosterzele Family Involved in Serious Thailand Car Crash Shocking Belgium - Faharas News A tragic accident involving a Belgian family in Thailand occurred on April 19, 2025, leaving one mother dead and her daughter critically injured. The family of four was enjoying their vacation when the incident took place in Pattaya. This shocking event has raised concerns among the Belgian community about safety while traveling abroad. The unfortunate incident unfolded as a 44-year-old mother and her 11-year-old daughter attempted to cross the street when they were struck by a motorcyclist. While the father and another daughter escaped unharmed, this tragedy has left the family devastated. Key details include: The mother lost her life at the scene. The daughter is currently in critical condition. The father and remaining child are safe but traumatized. I posted this in another topic about a drunk Pattaya accident , but it disappeared. Pretty serious , no indication whether it was a drunk Thai or foreigner.

I search for an english version and that gave me that link. It has been 5 days , so it much be fake or privacy is kept strict. I hope it is wrong , a mother and a small child hopefully not dead.
Ralf001 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 sounds similar to the German couple and child that got hit by a car crossing a road in Kho Lak on the 19th.
FlorC Posted April 24 Author Posted April 24 This was the pic with the article. I haven't been in Pattaya for 13 years , so I can't say that the pic is Pat's 1

I would be puzzled if this picture is Pattaya. Varying lane indicators?? Undivided road with four lanes in one direction?? That's a big city, Bangkok or not? Not a single pickup in sight?? 2

newnative Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Bangkok, I think. Looks like it might be New Phetchaburi Road. The tallest close-up building in the photo with the inward slanting top looks like it could be Circle Condominium. 1
KhunBENQ Posted April 24 Posted April 24 I found the link now. https://www.vrt.be/vrtnws/nl/2025/04/19/oosterzele-ongeval-thailand-moeder-dood/ What now? How could such an event go unreported here? 1

No education from you needed. It was a JOKE. The last link simply describes the same event happened that I can't find anywhere else. Searched for Belgium (in Thai) in Thai news. No trace.
FlorC Posted April 24 Author Posted April 24 So 5 sites report this accident and a few days later reported an update that the 10 years old is now better . Still nothing here . Weird. 4 minutes ago, KhunBENQ said: No education from you needed. It was a JOKE. Good place for a joke on this thread. You could not open the link , (they all work), and could not read the dutch. I helped and you bite my a$$. Thanks .
SMIAI Posted April 25 Posted April 25 It's obviously nonsense. The picture in the VRT article is not even of the primary school mentioned. It's all a total fake. 1
Guderian Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Not a single obese farang wearing a wifebeater vest and riding a 25-year-old Honda Wave in that photo, so it's definitely not Pattaya! lol 2
