Too much bleeding then so he told me to stop the aspirin and return in 10 days. I thought he might be making a mountain out of a mole hill ( good pun that ) and have decided to let it wait until I am in the UK in August where they can freeze it out with liquid nitrogen. Less fuss IMO and no need for return visit to have stitches out.
April 30, 2025Apr 30 Nothing a little liquid nitrogen couldn't handle. If no doc that uses that, get take away ice cream sandwiches from Swensen's, as they usually give some dry ice with that. Since raised a bit, may have to hit it twice. Since my liquid nitro doc retired, I use dry ice now, or, wife does on my back. Always get black dots back there. Once a year or so, freeze 'em off. Oh yea, clean under that nail

April 30, 2025Apr 30 Popular Post I just had all mine checked today at the BPH. Expensive but reassuring. Have you done an Internet search for cancer moles and blemishes. I went to see my Oncologist about the moles on my arms and she recommended a skin doctor. So I went to a Dermatologist for a check up. I was relieved that the blemishes on my arms weren't cancer related but bruises caused by the medication I take for lung cancer. So quite a good result in a way.

Also, The Dermatology Institute Bangkok mostly students claim they can do it.

April 30, 2025Apr 30 Dermatologists are cheap. Magnitudes less than a funeral. If nothing else, have your local hospital's doctor remove and biopsy it. Given all your freckles I'd be checking with a dermatologist annually. I go semi-annually. It's the Scot-Irish ginger part of me that got way more sun than I needed when I was younger.

You generally don't do MOHS on some place like an arm unless you are an A-list celeb. It's usually done on places like the nose or face to keep you from looking mutilated. Ideally, prevention is the best Rx. Which is why I see a good dermatologist twice a year. Catch it early and it's nitrogen or a minor cut. MOHS isn't what most guys would opt for given the removal of a lesion on the arm. And about the only MOHS certified doctors are in BKK and they are rare and costly.

However, some poster completely disagreed with me, and I just let it slide..... Because, what is the point of arguing with someone guided by ideology, and not science. Of course, as you say.... Get checked at least twice per year. And, I will try to take your good advice. But...I think I probably will not, unfortunately..... Concerning the image uploaded by our favorite mod, my bet is that this is not cancerous, but some sort of keratosis, or something. If this turns out to be...not the case.... Then I will just eat my hat. Hope all goes well.....
April 30, 2025Apr 30 I had a couple on my shoulders , put Savlon antiseptic cream on them every day, and after a few weeks they just dropped off ,trouble is you cannot get Savlon in Thailand , well you can on Lazada but that's made in China ! ,I get my daughter to send me some from UK , as you get older things start to grow on your body..... regards Worgeordie

And, I am quite sure that this ability is not too far in the offing. There must be a gargantuan demand for being able to upload images and get a diagnosis. How many years in the future? I would say.....TWO. But, first, one needs to begin with a very high quality image....before uploading the image. Most phones....I believe...are not capable of doing this kind of imaging. Just a guess... As usual.

May 1, 2025May 1 Popular Post If it is new or has changed in size/appearance, see a doctor. Suggest the government Dermatology Institute neslar Victory Monument. They have an after hours clinic where you can directly see senior doc. MoHs is indicated only for areas where cosmetic result is important so not applicable for OP. His options are, depending on what Dr thinks: - leave it and just observe for changes - remove it without biopsy (laser, cryo) -excise and biopsy. They can do what is called a "punch biopsy", very quick and simple , and usual appproach. But if it comes back malignant may have to do further excision. Sometimes, if index of suspulicion is high a wider excision may be done to begin with to increase odds of clear margins.
