And what if you were a 65-year-old wheelchair-bound person whom society has long written off? Then it's quite the opposite - he might actually want this 'news' to spread as widely as possible and eventually reach Australia, so his fellow residents at the care home would be consumed with envy.

My theory is that he deliberately set this up, and while peeking from the bathroom, his greatest concern was that she might turn out to be honest and not rob him at all.

Great theory, Columbo!😆😆😆

Some of these women are vipers. You are the prey. She even changed and went right back to it.

Harsh.

The reality is that the girls/other than girls working the beach are no different than street-walkers anywhere.  They come from the fringes of society and desperate circumstances.  More often than not, drugs are involved somewhere, whether themselves or a partner they're supporting.  They are not having sex with strangers for fun, it's all for money and if  a customer is dumb enough to leave a bundle of cash in place for an easy grab, then a harsh lesson learned.  Buying sex is not the same as buying a shirt.

Well that is disappointing.

So are you saying that all the hard work I am putting in to bring them to climax orally is a waste of time?

Rather, they are there to make money to pay off drug or gambling debts, or because of poverty. The people who freelance the streets  are usually turned out by the bars because they have HIV or  have a history of stealing or violence.  This is not a secret.  The police were  nice to entertain the complaint.

Hey! Who are calling disgusting?!

You should  consider being tested for HIV and other communicable sexual diseases. Most street prostitutes are disease carriers.

They are on the streets for a reason, no respectable brothel will have them, usually smack heads, and dosed up with something, even a brothel has rules,

Well he made the newspapers I am sure his friends and family back in Oz

Will be glad he is okay and enjoying his stay in Pattaya 🥳

Mr Dobie is a bit dopey ....   inviting a Thai to your hotel room...

what could possibly go wrong     !!

Where else are you going to bang her?

When I used to do that stuff a lot, a long time ago, my golden rule was to always undress in the bathroom before showering, for this very reason.

After returning to the hotel, he went to take a shower. When he emerged, the woman had disappeared, along with the cash he had left in his trouser pocket.

65 years old and never learned the first thing to avoid... leaving the person alone.

I beleive Mr Dobie is quite well known in Australia in golf circles.

Never, ever go for a shower leaving cash in your pocket. But yes happened to me once.

should always have a plan where to hide all cash, cards, documents, valuables. If no 'secret place' can be spotted in the guest room then deposit it at the lobby.

Be pragmatic, if the 'player' needs to wait a day they so be it, plenty of girls available in bars where records are kept, so why engage anonymous girls from the beach.

Yeah heard it before 'save 300Baht'.

Grow up guys think more before you act.

What do you figure would be the result?  He says she stole money.  What if she says she didn't?  How will he prove it?  It's not like she stole his iPhone or passport.

Maybe having $350 AUD in her purse would be a give away...........

Happened to me years ago in Bangkok. But it was a bar girl not a freelancer. The stupid lady stole 5000 baht from my pockets when i took a shower.I had f...her already and paid her. When i was out of the bathroom she had left.

I change clothes and was ready to go to the hotelbar when i find out she have steel 5000 baht.

I went to the bar with a policefriend of me.We confronted the lady who denied steeling.

The bar manager was wery upset. The police check her bag and wallet but didn't find anything. After a while a female policeofficer arrived and when searching her she found the money inside her bra.I get my money back and the manager fired the lady on the spot and told her to never come back again

An excerpt for you.....

R v Dobie (2009) 236 FLR 455

Australia

Fact Summary

Keith William Dobie is a Gold Coast man who, in December 2009, became the first person to be convicted for offences relating to trafficking in persons under Division 271 of the Criminal Code (Cth). Mr Dobie, a hairdresser from Broadbeach, Queensland, started a prostitution racket after flooding and fire destroyed his hair salon, KD Concepts, in Currumbin [Flatley C, “Qld: Human Trafficker to Appeal Sentence”, Australian Associated Press (7 January 2009)]. The necessary repairs left Mr Dobie in mounting debt, reportedly owing $1,200 a week to violent loan sharks who had lent him approximately $50,000 [Greg Stolz, ‘Thais prostituted to pay off debt’, Courier Mail (Brisbane), 21 October 2008, 5]. In the six months between December 2005 and May 2006, Mr Dobie sought to bring four different women from Thailand to Australia to work for him as prostitutes. It has been reported that Mr Dobie, assisted by a friend in Thailand, provided false information to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) and the Australian Embassy in Bangkok to organise visas for the women [Australia, Anti–People Trafficking Interdepartmental Committee, Trafficking in Persons: The Australian Government’s Response January 2004–April 2009, Canberra, ACT: Commonwealth of Australia, 2009, 72]. The false information presented to immigration officials included statutory declarations that the women were travelling to Australia to visit close friends who would sponsor them. In two instances there was a ‘skilful fabrication’ about a pending wedding

He must have sharp eyes to allegedly recognise the girl wearing different clothes.  Must have been something distinctive about her - assuming of course it was a she.  This sort of stunt is usually associated with chicks that have dicks. :coffee1:

Maybe he isn't  ashamed of his behaviour. Arranging a sex life when disabled is a massive challenge. Good on him

You can only catch it once

Disabled has nothing to do with it. He's an old hand. A former pimp who was convicted of human trafficking.

Easy pickings. If you want to participate in the trade, you need to be way smarter than this.

That doesn't give them the right to steal from anyone.  They should still face the law & punishment for stealing.
