A video has emerged showing the moment General Prawit Wongsuwan, leader of the Palang Pracharath Party, slipped and fell on the stairs at Wat Pho, Bangkok.

This incident occurred after he attended a royal prayer ceremony on 19th May. The scene stirred a commotion among onlookers as security personnel rushed to his aid.

Contrary to initial reports of General Prawit sustaining injuries and needing hospitalisation, Police Lieutenant General Piya Tawichai, spokesperson for the Palang Pracharath Party, clarified that the general merely lost his footing slightly and was not harmed.

He assured the public that General Prawit remains in good health and continues his duties as usual.

Footage shows General Prawit descending the stairs, assisted by his team, before the slip occurs. Despite the fall, his aides quickly intervened to help him up, ensuring his safety.

It was the weight of that damned watch that threw him off balance.

He is probably in good health but the old man should stay at home, instead of showing up everywhere to fill his pockets.. He has more than enough money and should be retired and out out of the news and sight...

The diamond pinky-ring was probably the straw that broke the general's camel's back.

Walking without shoes in temples etc. seems to be the problem - and the stockings. A general Thai culture problem.

Is it culture or cultural? You have 4 nouns in a row; albeit using one as an adjective.

wearing socks in the temples can be tricky. but the guy assisting him didn't him any favors by not gaining better control down the stairs.

If stupid doesn't want to use the rails.....stupid will fell down the stairs 😂

The old fool sho stop playing dress up, and just disappear quietly, he just looks rediculous and serves no purpose to the Thai people at all! Good riddance please!

Prawit should have retired 10 years ago. I suppose the free-flowing money keeps him in politics. Maybe he believes he can take all his wealth and watches with him.

General Prat.

White House spokeswoman reports, "It was very windy and he was wearing new shoes...He is doing 100% fine"

oops,

I meant Wat Pho spokesman

He is the last popular military leader and is like anutin the face of a party that caters to the older generation that still support the military/king

I keep hearing the voice of Howard Cosell;

"DOWN goes Prawit!  Down goes Prawit!"
