Yeah  thats not very accurate though... just ramblings of a drunk moron.

Sorry, it was a joke.

Probably a good idea not to base any major life decisions on Lewie's threads.

The Indians sleeping on the beach and using it as a toilet was a fake story.  But everything else about Pattaya is nasty.

In other words, there are parts I like and don't like. I can't decide if the good outweighs the bad. That's why I was curious if things had gotten "worse" then a year ago.

Ok, so we may need to narrow it down.

Tell us which bars you like to hang out and we'll do some reconnaissance and let you know if there are any Germans, low life Brits, or drunk morons or freelancers there.

Freelancers are Ok as long as they don't have a dumb bar girl story and look presentable. Guys from India are a no, as well as loud brits. I will pass on any german who likes hot dogs as well, especially if they are a cop or Nazi.

Let me know what you find and I will consider checking it out...

The OP could always move to the famous 'Beverley Hills of Pattaya' area in Pratumnak, where a much better class of Indian sleeps and defecates on the beach.

Same as a year ago, just more stories on social media

Hi, It's me...

Pattaya Pad, Big C food court, God's waiting room and a nice thumping. Bring your free water bottle...

Jomtien / Na Jomtien is fine...but very quiet at the moment.

But easy to avoid or partake in the madness if you want!

I was in (central) Pattaya for the last two weeks of May.

And even there it was unusually quiet.

Much less traffic was a positive one.

Even used the car a few times.

Now it seems absolute low season.

That's what I prefer. How long do you think that will last? 6 more months?

Sure not 6 months. That would be December one of the high season months.

After the rainy season ending in October things go up.

Be specific, there are 3 BigC's in Pattaya, although I suspect you mean Pattaya Klang. Bring a safety hat, the ceiling is about to give up!

Come on!

Turn right and use the other walkway.

But in a safety aware country they would have cordoned off the area. Really looks strange.

You confused me, I usually come in from the carpark, so would need to veer to the left. I think I am disturbing other shoppers as I crane my neck to look upwards and they follow suit!

From the car park?

is there more than one entrance from the car park?

Otherwise straight to the walkway.

Will check next time 😄

Turn right refers to the main entrance from Klang.

My car at 2J 😄

Entrance in the back.

Yes i have seen Indians  sleeping on the Beach, so presumably they"re  using it as a Toilet too, but Pattaya Beach has been used as a Toilet for many many years by  Taxi drivers, Tourists, and the Lady's of the night, especailly  close to the walking st end of the Beach

It's not really an area where I would be comfortable having a picnic on the sand...

Ditto for Jomtein and the whole area basically. I was never really comfortable with the beach scene around Pattaya. The vibe was just not right. Maybe because of the chairs out there with people watching me, food scraps from places and kind of grungy food places where people have been eating and drinking beer, etc. It's surprising since I like a beach and am from Southern California, but I never found that nice seaside beach scene anywhere around Pattaya.

I lived in Pattaya previously for over a year about one year ago. I was planning to move back to Pattaya, into the Central or Jomtein area.

However, I just saw a bunch of Youtube video's saying Pattaya getting real bad with people from India taking over, sleeping on the beach, using beach as a public toilet, etc, but I'm not sure if it's really that bad or if the video's are just focusing on negatives for attention. I don't like males from India much, but i do like the food.

How different is it from a year ago?

My advice is don't

no idea what it's like, but more than happy for all the sex tourists to be well away from me. so, recommend you return.

Your reason? Please reply asap, I'm getting my flight ticket and need to decide quickly. Got my DTV and am returning from Cambodia.

I can't decide where to go, please help me...

I decided to return to Pattaya. Even though the nightlife is not my ideal and the people tend to not be my type (low class) I can't afford an upscale scene in Bangkok.

Also, it's possible to live away from the Central area and most low life's and have the center nightlife as an option when I choose to do so. This makes it a better option then say, Chiang Mai, where although people have a bit of class, that additional scene is not available.

Wherever I go, there I am, but the more options that are available to me, the more likely it is for me to be happy.

Will be interesting to see how the next high season is.  The cost of living is really biting in western countries.  Many may not be able to afford their annual holiday to Thailand.

I went along that street by Nirun the other day on my way to Big C. I saw that same bearded guy sitting in a bar alone staring (only customer in there). It was a different bar, but the same guy.

It was the same guy from a year ago...

🤣

I'm sure he would be full of knowledge on all things Thailand.
