ILLEGAL immigrant = criminal history

Other possibilities in the absence of any history of terrorism or violent crime:

Keeping library books past due dates and not paying the fines due,

Walking dogs with out keeping them on a leash and possibly not picking up their dog's waste,

In Omaha both dogs and cats are required to be licensed, need I belabor how these scofflaws in all probability respond to this requirement,

Unpaid parking tickets,

Autos with windows tinted darker than allowable by law,

Taking a number of items in grocery store express checkouts that exceed posted limits,

Bringing outside candy into movie theaters,

Sharing Netflix passwords with family members,

I'm sure you knowledgeable grannies will know of others.

No doubt their neighbors in Omaha are relieved that this crime wave is being addressed.

You forgot overstating the value of a property on a loan application, and recoding payments to your lawyer as legal expenses.

Gary Rohwer, owner and CEO of Glenn Valley Foods, told Omaha’s WOWT that federal investigators told him 97 employees had false IDs. He said the company had used e-Verify.

Stealing personal information and/or using a false ID to obtain employment or government benefits is a FELONY.   Driving without a license or insurance are both crimes as well.  So nice try to downplay the seriousness of the situation.

You keep on about the non-violent crimes but the stated aims of the immigration crackdown were to deport terrorists and violent criminals.

A "FELONY" (clutches pearls) is not in this case a violent crime.

And I state simply and without heat, to this point none of the Omaha detainees have been identified as having a history of terrorism or violent crimes.

Mostly it's about replacement/setting up a caste system. Western countries have placed half of their industry in Asia (mostly China) between 1980-2010. What has happened in places that 'require' foreign workers is that the existing population don't want to work around a bunch of desperado browns and blacks who are only there to send money home to their lame family in Nigeria, India or the Philippines, so they sold up and moved to rural areas, took early retirement, went on welfare, or moved abroad. That's the reality. People can spin whatever fictional tales about it if they want.

I agree to an extent. Getting rid of the violent thugs is important. But so is getting rid of all illegal aliens.  Americans voted for the latter. They still support the latter.  Immigration laws do not have a "violent crime!" exception.  Getting rid of 70 or 80 people who were using stolen or forged IDs, as well as the ring of criminals who provided them, is a great step.

From the Justia link above:

"Given the complexities surrounding employment and immigration law, you might find it beneficial to consult with an attorney. They can offer guidance specific to your situation and help ensure that your business remains in compliance with federal and state laws."

So it isn't always cut & dry.

There has never been any confusion that Trump has stated all along that all illegal aliens need to be deported. You are disinformed.

Another "Truth" order on Truth Social:

"ICE Officers are herewith ordered, by notice of this TRUTH, to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History."

https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114690267066155731

So now there are executive orders, proclamations, and "TRUTH" orders.

Oh no, Trump trying to keep a campaign promise.

"Our Nation’s ICE Officers have shown incredible strength, determination, and courage as they facilitate a very important mission, the largest Mass Deportation Operation of Illegal Aliens in History. Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians, but nothing will stop us from executing our mission, and fulfilling our Mandate to the American People. ICE Officers are herewith ordered, by notice of this TRUTH, to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History."

I have posted several times with direct quotes from Truth Social. I am not addressing the content of those posts or who voted for what.

I am just looking at to what extent if any those "Truths" are legally binding as opposed to other types of orders in writing.

According to NBC news, there was a major ICE raid at a meat packing plant in Omaha Nebraska. About half the workers were found to be in the US illegally, using forged or stolen documents like SSN numbers, etc.   All were taken into custody.

And then?

Within a day, the place was FULL of people applying for jobs.

It is a simple fact that a shortage of labour is good for workers. They can get better pay, better conditions, etc.  And there are enough legal residents in the US to do what needs doing.

The haters will never agree, trump is bad, no matter what,  not seen a single mention of anything positive in any news whatsoever. Despite groceries s gas prices lower, and inflation at its lowest.

Arrgghh Trump!!

I just hope he doesn't get dragged into attacking Iran due to that psycho bibi.

I doubt anyone imagines Trump's posts on Truth Social are legally binding, unless of course they can be used to attack him.

Some of the most fevered thumbs downers are non Americans

Most likely correct that a TRUTH is not binding. As opposed to:

(via AI quickie) Presidential proclamation:

A presidential proclamation is an official announcement from the President of the United States, often used to declare national holidays, commemorate events, or announce policy changes. While some proclamations are ceremonial, others can have substantive policy implications, particularly those related to trade or immigration.

They are published in the Federal Register and codified in the Code of Federal Regulations.

While not always legally binding, proclamations can carry the force of law if issued under the President's constitutional or statutory authority.

In any event, what has his "Truth" ordered that most everyone in ICE or does not already understand to be their directive?

I am just questioning the legal status of a TRUTH social post as opposed to any other sort of Presidential directive or order.

Really? How did your pole dancing go?

21 hours ago, Hanaguma said:

Of course. Lots of juicy details were left out. Like separating legal from illegal residents, discussing how the E-Verify system is such a mess, etc.  But the bottom line is that the jobs will be filled.  As will virtually any job done by an illegal immigrant.

SoThis is a good tip for any American seeking work... just go to a factory and watch who enters and leaves. Then call ICE and tell them it is full of illegals.... Once they arrest all the illegals there will surely be an opening for the American who refused to work there for less money..

Too bad nobody ever gave you a break in life trying to make ends meet & feed your family. Were you ever 18 in a bar? Whose ID did you use? Gotta get rid of you, you crinimal!

One of the main issue is that the unemployment rate is rather low, so the construction industry  doesn't expect Americans (US citizens) to be able to fill jobs left by immigrants. 🙂

A Martínez: To what extent does the construction industry rely on workers who don't have legal status?

George Carrillo: That number is actually relatively high. We estimate somewhere between 700,000 to 1 million people. What people really need to understand is we have a workforce shortage in this country, period. Now, if you take out about a million Hispanics that are undocumented, it would devastate the construction industry, and not just that. Critical infrastructure, clean drinking water, sewage. Who's going to build our homes? We're about 4.5 million homes behind. All roads lead to construction. If we fail, the broader economy and our way of life dramatically suffers.

I wish it were true. Using the National Guard and the Marines is very unpopular according to the polls. They do love that the border is pretty much shut. The rest is kind of mixed.  But I don't think that the opinions of all Americans should matter now.  What's important is that a big majority of MAGA voters support all of Trump's immigration plans now that he's gotten back on board with deporting all illegals and not favoring certain sectors of the economy. We won the elections and elections have consequences. Full speed ahead!!

Once Americans experience the benefits of being rid of  illegals, namely lower crime and better paying jobs,  they will rally around President Trump like no one has ever rallied round a President before.

But per FRED and the labor force participation rate, about 60% of the workforce is not working.

And if labor is scarce, why have wages not gone up faster?

It appears to be true that the E-Verify system is too easy to game and needs to be strengthened.  This would have been a good thing for DOGE to do instead of the nonsense it did or pretended to do.  What the U.S. needs is a genuine national ID card, but the recent "Real ID" fiasco probably put paid to that....

One big problem, is that once a facility starts hiring illegal aliens, the supervisors, HR, Inventory and anothat communicated with the employees all have to be bilingual, and once that happens, they quit hiring direct labor that does not speak Spanish.
