I don't usually root for a maniac genocidal, thieving serial killer like Hun Sen, but in this particular case the revelation of those details sounds like a lot of fun.

55555555 - this could become a very revealing <deleted>show. I am sure Hun Sen has something up his sleeve against Thaksin. But man oh man - it couldnt be difficult to find something to reveal about dictator and former Khmer Rouge officer Hun Sen….

I WANT IT ALL - NOW!😆😆😆

For those of you who weren't around when the "red shirt/yellow shirt" riots were happening, it was alleged in the Thai media that one of the reasons the yellow shirts were protesting Thaksin was that they thought he was trying to basically replace the (former) king and become the "most revered and beloved figure" in Thailand basically.

The "yellow" shirts backed the monarchy (yellow being the "royal" colour) and the red shirts represented the lower classes (farmers, taxi drivers, food vendors) - the same people Thaksin had been paying to vote for him basically.
(So when Hun Sen mentions "insults to the king" you can imagine he actually does know something.)

And back then there were the same shenanigans. Thaksin did an "end around" the law by using his kids, maids and chauffeurs to offload his shares in ShinCorp so he could avoid paying billions in taxes - and ignore a court ruling prohibiting the sale (for national security reasons as ShinCorp owned the satellites the Thai military communications networks use).

Then there was his "war on drugs" where over 2,500 (at least) "drug dealers" were killed in shoot-outs with the police that some hinted was actually an operation to "clean out the competition".

Then there was the suspect land deal where the organization that manages the public land in Bangkok sold some prime real estate to Thaksin's wife - for a quarter of the market value. She then flipped it for full price. (She was charged for that herself and given a prison sentence.)

But ! Smoke and mirrors ! He introduced the "30 baht healthcare scheme" where anyone could go to a hospital and see a doctor for just 30 baht.

People were so enamoured by that they forgot about everything else he was doing.

And that was exactly the purpose - to distract attention away from everything else he was doing.

No surprise that this recent border incident started right after the Medical Board took action against the doctors who signed off on Thaksin's condition and the announcements of an inquiry into his "hospital stay".

I mentioned that the timing was suspect when it first happened and sure enough - news about the hospital inquiries quickly fell to the wayside.
But not entirely.

And remember - Thaksin is still facing a "lèse-majesté" charge from a couple years ago already.
"In May 2024, Thaksin was charged with lèse-majesté by the Attorney-General over remarks he made during an interview with South Korean media while in exile in 2015."

You can look up Thaksin's wiki page and search for "lese" and you can see the mentions of the different previous accusations while he was PM.

So you can imagine the turmoil if Hun Sen reveals other instances that could result in more lèse-majesté charges.

I don't think there are enough brown envelopes in Thailand to get out of that !

Was that before or after he was seen dancing the night away at Hun Sen's birthday party?

Hun Sen, the outspoken Senate president, has fired a warning shot at his former "Godbrother", ex-Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra. Accusing Thaksin of treachery, Hun Sen claims he will unveil damning details, including actions against the Thai monarchy. The revelation awaits Thailand's next move

Ohhh dear the brothers Grimm have fallen out with each other... I wondered why Paetongtarn was the mouthpiece recently and not Thakisin talking to his buddy.

I wonder what Thakisin didi this time.

Gonna get real interesting.

Odds on Hun Sen living long enough to see this Christmas?

Odds on Thaksin still living in Thailand by Christmas

Many love affairs end in tears. So sad.

I will take that bet but turn it around

Odds on shin faMily boarding plane before Xmas for Dubai

Offering same odds on how long PTP exists

A bit rich coming from Hun Sen, a former Khmer Rouge district commander that flipped sides once he knew the writing was on the wall, and that the Vietnamese were coming for him... talk about someone with skeletons in the closet. As an aside, his wife looks like she is the female version of Ming the Merciless.

I'm surprised that this thread has lasted as long as it has, such is some of the content in the OP and one or two replies. 🧐🤫

My wife hates Thaksin for that very reason and she had told me what you you wrote before the protests started. There are many Thaksin haters up here.

If Hun Sen were a good man, he would have revealed those dark secrets already. The fact is, he hasn't and is likely waiting to see what he can get from Thailand to keep his mouth shut.

they all have skeletons in their closets, who will be the first to spill them out

I get a kick out of all the Thaksin haters.  As if Thailand would/will be better off with his replacement, whoever that turns out to be.

It has taken a peeved foreigner to expose Thaksin and his family for the liars and selfserving cheats they are.

These revelations should have been made by Thai politicians who have shown what cowards they are kow towing to a convicted criminal.

Addressing Cambodians in Preah Vihear province on June 26, Hun Sen expressed his frustration. “I’ve been wronged;

Now what could that be, lets speculate.  Was he wronged:

1.because the Thais were stopped from loosing their money atr the Chines casinos set up with his approval and diluted his cut, or

2. they cut off the internet and phones to the call centers set up with his approval and diluted his cut.

Which ever it would certainly be about money.

If the party that won the most votes last time  win again next time and are allowed to form a government,  then they would make a excellent replacement.

Wonder if people realize hun sen was part of the Khmer Rouge, which wiped out a quarter of the population of Cambodia.   Millions of Cambodians just eliminated, and this guy has a ton of skeletons in his closet.

Not just Thaksin though... The PM as well.. AND the previous PM his sister.

Seems the treacherous military faction, pockets still filled from their turn at the trough, have paid off this treacherous old murderer to try and create an "event" to allow them to get back at the helm...
