Hi all,

I obtained my non O 90 day visa in the UK prior to travelling to Thailand. This will end next month and I now have booked an appointment with immigration on 18th July for a Extension Visa for Retirement at Ratthaprasasana Phakdi Building, this is scheduled for the morning, I have also a meeting booked in the afternoon for multi entry at the same location.

Could someone please help and confirm required documents and evidence please ?

for extension I have:-

TM7

TM30 - provided by my agent

Copy of my 1 year lease agreement

Passport

Photo's of passport ID page, stamp page, bio data page

4 x 4×6 cm photos of me

Copy of bank statement book all pages also showing no less than 800,000 baht has been in account for no less than 62 days

Hand drawn location map of my condo

Rental receipts for past 3 months rent

1900 Baht for 1 year extension fee

Also I understand that I need a letter from my bank too ? is that correct.

Re-Entry

TM8

Many thanks in advance

Thanks all, is it ok to type the responses on the form and print, or should I only use hand written responses.

Type on the form and print is fine. Just leave the signature and sign in front of them on the day (not sure if that is strictly necessary but no harm in it - I always sign in front of them)

- only the last year's entries + data page for the bank book.  You also need to show the bank book

It is the OP, s first extension and plans to show a three month bank statement (good plan)

The actual bank book will definitely be required..

CW will want to see something that shows address. TM30 and/or Lease advisable.

Immigration may accept google map however CW known to have you provide hand drawn map.

The OP is providing hand drawn (good plan)

OP here is a thread report.

There have been quite a few detailed, first-hand "trip reports" at Chaeng Watthana for retirement and marriage extensions posted here with document details. I'd search those out, review them and assemble those additional documents just in case.

That is a must have.

Note: you can now take a screenshot of booking slot.

That will be accepted.

@Wyabcp walk past queue desk  and first L desk show your appointment printout and the doc check chicks will take your docs and put them in order.

Also hand you few forms.

Acknowledgement forms etc.

You will then go to the appointment desks L33-34 area.

You can also log in to the Appointment System and see all your booked appointments.

And you send yourself a copy of the PDF via email.

For the 3 months of sneak receipts, is it ok to provide the bank transfer receipts for the payment  to the landlord?

You can obtain seamlessly at airport with a 200b fee and immigration do all.

Thanks, i  will  consider this, however i get pretty stressed prior to my flight, so not sure if this would to me over the edge.. 🙂

Highly unlikely you'll need those.  I didn't for my first or subsequent extensions.

It's a very good fallback and better still requires nothing more than your passport (and money).  No copies of anything, no form filling, no photo.  You just have to remember to do it!

If you obtain the reentry permit at immigration then all good.

If you (for some reason) don't and need to obtain at the airport then come back to thread for detailed advice regards reentry permit at airport.

Ok thanks, where abouts is it in the airport? Can you get multi entry there too?

At BKK it's in the immigration section before passport control after you pass security.  Down the escalator from security and turn right and you'll see the desk ahead of you.  Yes, you can get a multi (I did it recently).

At BKK airport the reentry permit desk is Zone 2 left side of passport lines.

Multi 3800 + 200b (service fee) = 4k

In my experience with Chaengwattana:

- no need for lease agreement

Other people's experiences may vary.

" no need for lease agreement ????? "

Is this different as before for now ,as i am planning my own extension Non o , for a planned stay for 2 x 3 months a year , so i could by this just use a  3 months lease  (2 X ) a year ??   .

This for Jomtien 5 I.O. office

Don't follow..... If you only want a stay of 3 months why would you need a 12 month extension

just getting the freedom to come and go TH. as i stayed before 14 years , i am now in Th. and KK bank is updated with the needed 800+ .

and keeping my Belgium address as this easy for avoiding medical insurance at 75+ age 😉 , as i get for every trip  3 months free gov. insurance as long it is only a 3 months holiday !  & also i have still a rent to pay in Home country ..... just making it easy access  only 1  hassle a year as before living TH.

SO coming 2X  3 months  to Thail. a year in this way 😁

Makes sense. So apply for the 12 month extension along with your reentry permit.

Which immigration office.

Hopefully without a lease the TM30 will be sufficient.

So currently you have a Non O?

yes TM30 delivered online by the VT 8  condo management , an swift accepted slip by Jomtien I.O. and delivered the stamped slip.

I understand it look a little bit much strange on first look , but i avoid the Tax hassle doc. from Th. and i can keep my  Belgium banks with no problem by keeping official address in Belgium , needed to  keep being intitled to the free Hospitalization & included repatriation if needed ,dead or alive for 90 days from my Belgian Gov. on condition each holiday is no longer than 3 months (90 day)

Living in 2 worlds short explained , the costs on 75+ insurance in Thailand is worth the flying 2 times

Swimming in the ever changing rules from TH & Belgium 😁

Hand drawn location map of my condo

Might also be a good idea to include your condo's GPS co-ordinates since I understand that some offices have been asking for these as well as, or instead of, hand-drawn maps.

Personally, I wouldn't rely on it.  When I went there their camera was broken causing an enormous palaver to go to the airport police station to get a photograph taken there.  This involved getting staff to unlock various security doors on the way.

Probably best to take one's own photos (and maybe even a completed TM8?) if seeking a re-entry permit at the airport, to guard against eventualities of this sort.
