What kind of upbringing? Well, owning/managing a bar in a sexpat area of Pattaya should provide you the answer.

For those who missed the update. There was no punch for filming. He got a slap for threatening the bar owner. He was already pushing it by stating that he was going to sit there all night. Then afterwards he stated that he was only joking, but if the owner got "pissy" with him, that he was going to "f*** him up". The bar owner reacted to the threat by slapping him. 

American ran to mummy(police station) and lied about it. End of story.

Really? Here's a probable scenario if your suggestion was reality. Bar owner "A" is envious of bar owner "B"....next door or across the soi, because his bar doesn't get the same amount of customers. Bar owner A pays a local to start a fight in owner B's bar. Bar owner B's get shuttered for one month. Bar owner A is happy. Your suggestion is unrealistic 🤨

Perhaps a few more slappings from bars will get the message through that inside an establishment there are rules and if you don't adhere to them, there are consequences.

No, I mentioned in the other post that the bar owner should have gone to the back room and called the cops.

 

Just saying this video shows how stupid and provocative foreigners get in these bars, including uttering threats. So that's why we see so many beatings taking place.

Not surprised he got assaulted, I thought it was pretty much known that would be a likely outcome for unauthorized filming in bars of the type as indicated by the area.  Usually the bars have signs around indicating that is not allowed.  Simply put, the bar does not want you filming people in the bar which may violate the law (nudity on stage), and some of the women may not want to be filmed without authorization...

 

To be quite honest, he was really asking for it IMHO...  I don't think this will be given a high priority...

Many of these annoying live YouTube streamers are rude, cocky and aggressive trying to be cool online to get viewers. IMHO more of them should be punched in the face.

I went to a cafe and there were signs banning filming and photographing.

It's not just to do with girls.

I'm guessing people film all over the place and some people don't like it and it leads to arguments and fights in the establishment.

It is common courtesy to ask the mamason or manager if it's ok to film inside their  bar. They may object for various reasons such as there may be staff / girls working there whose family back home in Isan  think  that they work in a restuarant or hotel and not a bar and have no control over  who sees the video. This bloke deserved eveything he got ..idiot.
