Might make them think twice before firing rockets into Thailand again.

I know they are going to be crapping themselves, especially at the 'top levels' inside Cambodia.

Sometimes I live among them and notice things which are not normal and you hear stories about certain people who are unexpectedly swarmed by bodyguards when there's an incident like the one a few months back when a single Cambodian soldier was killed on the border and loads of them just turned up for someone who doesn't usually have bodyguards yet is surprisingly some member of Hun Sens extended family.

They were scared back then so I have no doubts there's a lot of reaction in the last couple of days and that's all the way down in Phnom Penh.

They must have reason to fear in Phnom Penh to act like that or they wouldn't do it.

Well official figures state only 50 Cambos have lost there lives in the skirmish not TAT figure of 100 dead. The usual " Tell the lemmings we are winning and throw a lie in they'll believe it "

Not what Cambodia states:

Cambodia releases fatalities figures for the first time as the conflicts enters Day 3. From the Phnom Penh Post: "BREAKING: In an armed conflict with Thailand, 5 Cambodian soldiers were killed and 21 injured. Additionally, 8 civilians were killed and 50 injured since the clashes broke out on July 24, confirmed Maly Socheata, defense ministry spokesperson

Thanks. You beat me to it. Similar publication in todays  KHMER TIMES.

Yet again, the aggressive Siamese military  inflating casualties to save face over losing the UNESCO Preah Vihear temple complex to Cambodia when the ICJ confirmed it was on Cambodian soil.

SI SA KET - In a recent skirmish along the Thai-Cambodian border, the Thai military has reportedly engaged in intense combat, resulting in the deaths of approximately 100 Cambodian soldiers.

I guess talks are on hold at the moment.

I'm expecting a spokesman from the Thai military to be trotted out inflating more silly figures.

The conflict intensified as Cambodian troops attempted to breach key areas, including Chong Bok, Sam Tae, Phu Ma Khua, and other strategic locations.

Wow. This isn't a mere border clash anymore. Military movements to breach lines is conflict in depth.

These are 'strategic locations' in the words of the Second Army Region Operations Centre. As far as I'm aware, most all of these are where ancient temples and their access roads are. Strategic? Mehhh...

Wtf. 100?? That's a company of soldiers. This is completely escalating out of control.

Again, quotes from the Second Army Region Operations Centre and thus totally unsubstantiated.

Queue the official Cambodian military statement quoting much lower numbers.
