You'll never go to Pattaya because of an incident in Phuket?

Oh! I just thought this must have been in Pattaya. I'll never go there. I don't think I'll ever go to Phuket, either, but I don't consider it as bad as Pattaya.

Thanks for pointing this out. 🖕

Come on, this time it's just "foreigners" when usually nationality is clearly stated. Looks like Arabs to me....

I don't know, could be British! 🤣

10 against 1 or 20 against 1...the Farangs learned from the Thais...

I think that these 'Farangs' have brought their own culture to Thailand and need no lessons in mob altercations.

Of course we all know that those fine rental chaps never cheat foreign customers on false damage claims etc.

I don't condone the foreigners they are complete cowards...  But it's funny how usually if one or two foreigners attack one or two Thais, the thais all suddenly appear from nowhere and then have 8,9,10 on one/two foreigners. yet when it would be even numbers foreigners vs Thais (thai taxi mafia) they're nowhere to be seen.  The thais not so keen when it's even numbers in a fight.

Just be happy there's no direct flights into Utapao Airport from Dubai or other mid east places.

Let all the Arabic trash go to Phuket.

Too right.

Pattaya is for western sex tourist trash not Arabs.

of course we all know that those fine tourists who rent motorcycles never scratch motorbikes with their exemplary riding skills.

And if they did they would always point out the damage they cause and never try to claim they didn’t.

Seems like you haven't been to patts. It's mainly Indian and Chinese.

I don't know. I rented an apartment, but left after 5 weeks, I told the landlady she could keep the deposit, but she wanted the deposit plus another month's rent on top, she called the police, the office looked at the rent agreement and told her there was nothing in the agreement that said I had to give notice, he made her give me my deposit back. Then she said to check my passport, he replied, "I'm not here to check his passport". Then he said I could go, with the B6000 deposit.

Any trick in the book to Scam money  from a falang. You should have posted it on Facebook Ginner most of the Thais do  if there wronged to embarras a falang.

To be fair we know these motorbike and jetski operators run common scams where they blame the renter for damage.  Police won't do anything.  Eventually they take it into their own hands.

Not saying that's what happened here but we all know its all too common. And will lead to this.

Violently attack someone because you refuse to pay for damage you did to the bike...there is only one culture that has the entitlement to act like this!!!..and it's getting worse

There are actually more prostitutes and "massage parlours" in Phuket than there are in Pattaya..

How many of these inbreds actually have a DL, you break the law you damage peoples property and then act violently towards them...and you say it's the owners fault...retards the lot of yoi

Hiring a motorbike / scooter, a Car, or a Jet Ski, is almost guaranteed to cause anxiety when it comes to returning the rental.

These transactions can end up costing more than you bargained for and ruin your day, if not your Holiday.

Hiring is best avoided.

agreed.  i saw many unpleasant interactions in  Pattaya.

Does this motorbike rental shop have a jetski business too, always  damage  to the jetski   they say

well, whatsappen is not nice, to many against one, but many motorcycle they are scammers,

and crooks, but these time  they found something to suit their tastes

Attacking in gangs, usually Indians or Thais. Unknown nationality?

Arab is not a nationality.

Sorry, Arabs often claim to be a "Muslim Nation" across national boundaries.

While I'd like to sympathise with the shopkeepers in these incidents, the scams of charging for faked damaged rental equipment is legion and well-known even for those who've never been to Thailand before. When some local tries it on, and you know you didn't damage it, then the guy threatens to call the police to mediate, he's the one who escalated the situation. Not the foreigner. Never give your passport to the guy renting you the MC or the jet ski as deposit, take photos of it before you rent it (with a date stamp on the iPhone etc.).

Well the 10% of Arabs who aren't Muslims might dispute that. But my point was they used the word 'foreigner' in the article because it's unclear who the perpetrators are. Looking at the clip they could be from the Middle East or from South Asia.

They are obviously  Middle Eastern or Indian  men, not European.

Have you been to France, England or Germany lately? Europe is flooded with young men from the Middle East and the Hindukush... and they all got EU-Passports after they "lost" their original ones

Oh come on now, if you can ride a donkey you are qualified to ride motorcycles...

Ok I understand now. There are many breeds of dogs originating from many countries, therefore there is no such thing as dogs. Got it I stand corrected.

I never implied such a thing. I was just pointing out that when trying to paint a picture you are better off using a detail brush instead of a paint roller...
