Brit Now Faces 10yrs in Jail After Pattaya Crash Death

Brandon Mills, the 22-year-old British tourist facing charges in Thailand for a fatal scooter crash in Pattaya (August 14, 2025), cannot legally obtain another UK passport in a neighboring country if Thai police have seized his passport. UK law requires reporting a seized passport as lost or stolen, and a replacement application must be made through a UK embassy or consulate (e.g., in Cambodia, Laos, or Vietnam). However, Thai authorities would likely notify neighboring embassies via diplomatic channels, and Mills’ status as a suspect (facing up to 10 years for reckless driving causing death) would flag him in passport systems (HM Passport Office, 2025). Embassies verify identity and legal status, and a replacement would be denied or reported to Thai police.

That's very good information Mikey, but that is how it works in theory but in reality if you have got enough money and you need it bad enough you can get anything  E.G faLse passport  , drivers License ,  I.D. and  that's what he needs to escape. I was in Manila years ago and there was a street stall there with a sign up saying fake I.D' s here. So I had a look around and he asked me where you from and I said Australia and he showed me a display of every states drivers  licences that he could produce in 10 minutes for about $5 I said thanks but no thanks.

You kick first and ask questions later. Of course he has fled the country, he's a scumbag coward with zero morals. Shame on the Thai courts for releasing this pond life. Hope he dies a slow death at s

It doesn't take a genius what is attracting these sorts of men to Thailand. Over the past few years we've seen masses of them arrive in Thailand.

I done think Thai prisons don’t allow Moon boots

most of these millennials are brain dead.  take away their iPhones and they would have to kill themselves, robots seeking validation.   looks like a punk, where the fake beard?

If he's skipped the country put him on the Interpol list...

he won't be able to go to another British embassy and say he's lost his passport.

Contrary to the assertions made by some on here, he wasn't drunk nor on drugs. No one, other than the crazies on here, wants him sent to prison, other than to focus his mind on raising some cash.  An apology and to take care of her family would likely be the preferred way.

I want him sent to prison.  The “preferred way” is that his family pays up and that he spends time behind bars, maybe then he’ll wake the *u*k up, get his head out of his a** and learn to behave like a responsible adult.

@TimBKK Is your language and behaviour here, indicative of how you think a responsible adult should behave?

The 22-year-old British tourist accused of killing a woman while attempting a motorbike stunt in Pattaya could now face up to 10 years in prison after the victim died in hospital.

Brandon Mills, from Doncaster, was riding a rented scooter on the night of 14 August when he allegedly tried to perform a wheelie but lost control, slamming into 49-year-old mother-of-two, Jurairat Petchraksa, as she left a local bar on her Honda motorcycle.

Jurairat was found by emergency services lying in a pool of blood and rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite days of treatment, she succumbed to her injuries.

Mills was initially charged with reckless driving causing serious injury, an offence carrying up to three years in prison, but police confirmed the charge has now been upgraded to reckless driving causing death, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years in jail and a fine of up to 200,000 baht.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Itthiporn said:

“The suspect was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but he admitted causing the accident. More evidence and witness statements are being collected, and we are awaiting a full forensic report into the cause of death. He will not be allowed to leave Thailand.”

Mills, who was reportedly beaten by angry onlookers in the aftermath of the crash, has been released from custody but has now had his passport confiscated. He has also made a compensation payment of 30,000 baht to the victim’s family towards medical costs.

Tributes have since poured in for Jurairat, described by friends as “everyone’s angel”. One mourner said:

Questions remain over Mills’ identity, after some local media referred to him as Brandon James Holmes. UK reports suggest he is the same man convicted in Sheffield in 2022 for dealing heroin and crack cocaine, when he received a suspended custodial sentence.

Police are expected to submit their findings to prosecutors once the hospital’s forensic report is complete. There are local media rumours that he has already fled illegally across the border into a neighbouring country, but authorities have not confirmed this.

WOW! What empathy!

he wasn't drunk nor on drugs - so he did this in a rational and sane state of mind ? So should be given a lenient sentence?

If any of this is true perhaps Cambodia? The relationship between the two countries is so poor they would not send him back.

I would imagine to many border patrols and drones at this time, may be Laos, can't be hard to cross if you have cash.

not a chance of getting a new passport from another country.  a red notice has been issued.

There's always a chance. A piece of crap live streamer got his passport confiscated by South Korea and was able to get a replacement and showed it off. He just still can't leave the country illegally though because South Korea doesn't have the huge open land borders that Thailand has. If the Brit was able to escape to Cambodia, it wouldn't shock me if they would purposely ignore any red notice from Thailand with the current tension going on between the two countries. I hope I'm wrong though and the Brit who killed the Thai lady does his time in the Bangkok Hilton.

No idea what a "Northerner" is , obviously from the North of England?

Is that a "lower" class area of England?

Are you implying that there is a "higher" class area of England?

I'm not sure but interesting

I never meet any of the upper class Brits in Pattaya

Where do the judges and politicians etc go ?

@ravip Indeed, he wasn't drunk nor on drugs. It was a tragic accident, but his fault, so he should pay. Compensation. Jail is pointless in this case, other than to hold him to any agreement to pay compensation.

The old dudes just need to vent, as they are an unhappy bunch.

Well said sir!

No proof at this stage that he has fled Thailand. Is his passport false? If the Thai police say he is Mills that must be the name in his passport, who has suggested that he is Brandon Holmes and where is the evidence of that?

Thailand has extradition orders with the UK...and if he doesn't go back there is interpol to find him....but most likely he's still in Thailand

I hope so.

The tattooed imbecile will have to hand over a few million Baht to the victim's family in order to avoid jail.
