Another major medical association breaks from CDC as ob/gyn group recommends Covid-19 vaccines during pregnancy

"The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists on Friday reaffirmed support for Covid-19 vaccination during pregnancy, becoming the second major professional medical association to break from current US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations this week.

 

“While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently removed its recommendation that pregnant and lactating individuals receive updated COVID-19 vaccines, ACOG’s recommendations have not changed,” according to the updated practice advisory. “The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists continues to recommend the use of updated COVID-19 vaccines in individuals contemplating pregnancy and in pregnant, recently pregnant, and lactating individuals.”

 

In May, US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that Covid-19 vaccines will no longer be among the recommended vaccines for pregnant women and healthy children in CDC immunization schedules. The abrupt decision bypassed the government’s normal process for evaluating and recommending vaccines, and Kennedy did not offer scientific evidence to justify the change to the recommendations."

The American Academy of Pediatrics took a similar step earlier this week in rejecting the Trump Administration's recent changes to COVID vaccine recommendations, with the AAP continuing to recommend COVID vaccination for young children.

 

 

Wasn't that long ago that preggers women were told not to take even a paracetamol tab. Now they are recommending a covid vaccine?

 

This white-coat evilness is beyond the grave. Surely no preggers woman would be that stupid?

In the U.S., the CDC has long recommended pregnant women be up-to-date on COVID vaccinations, because ample research as shown they are at much higher risks of health problems if they become ill with COVID during pregnancy. It's only in the past couple months that the new anti-vaxer HHS regime under Kennedy tried to reverse that longstanding policy.

 

The medical facts and realities have not changed. Only the anti-vax political appointees in charge have.

My ex is a molecular biologist, she'd make her own decision. She knows a lot more about this than you and I can ever dream of knowing, although i did gain some knowledge on the side.

Go and read Dr Enders' 1954 paper of his lab experiments. Then tell me the virologists, and immunologists, and vaccinologist; and all the other 'ologists have it right. They are all sipping from the gravy train. Well! Most of them; can't really say all. There might be quite a few that know the score but have bills to pay.

The  statement is without factual basis.

So what if pharmaceutical companies are "hurting"  (Sic)? Only a small number of pharmaceutical companies  are associated with vaccines and of that number only a few manufacture covid vaccines. 

To have a pregnant wife i) You would need to find a woman who would allow you to impregnate her and ii) You would need to have motile viable spermatazoa. Can you satisfy those basic parameters?
