Higher wages. higher corporate taxes, more regulation all increase cost of domestic products that the consumer pays.

Tariffs increase the cost of imported products that the consumer pays.

You definitely are a Trump support as that is complete gibberish. Nice to see you admit that the products consumers need are going to cost more.  The next 6 months could be the worst in history for the average American consumer. Not looking good for Trump and his minions.

All very good, but there are still a lot of people who will rejoice when Donald J Trump exits this World.

  • Not Putin. He is Putin’s useful idiot.

While I'm not a conspiracy theorist, I do have to consider these possibilities......

---He is looking for his tax returns he promised to publish 9 years ago

---He's recovering from a threesome with Laura Loomer and MTG

---He's in Turkey trying to end the Armenian genocide, the same way he ended the Rwanda genocide in 1994, or so he claimed 2 weeks ago

---He's having an extended sit down lie down with Jimmy Hoffa

---He's trying to make up this coming week's jobs numbers, in order to avoid the fiasco from last month's BLS report

---He went back up on the White House roof, but nobody thought to check there

---There's a Code Pink protest on PA Ave, so he's hunkered down in the WH bunker, just in case one of those post-menopausal grandma's gets feisty.

The good news is that if he dies, he can prove to his Talibangical cult followers if he really is the Second Coming, by walking into the Oval Office on the 3rd day, or on the 2nd day if he wants to be Jeebus record. "Nobody can resurrect better than me; some say I'm the best resurrector ever."

I never said I was not a Trump supporter. I like most of what he’s doing. I do not like the tariffs, but I understand them.

Do you admit that consumers pay for corporate income taxes an regulations, and that raising them raises prices?

I also supported Biden and Obama ad well.  I would have supported Harris had she won. That is not to say I supported every thing they did, but they were my presidents.

He’s been too busy playing on the new crazy golf course he’s had installed in the White House.

The putting green on the white house lawn was installed by Eisenhower.

Trump has added a Golf Simulater ... because he's cool.

What's "irrational"? The tariffs?

Please post your Phd in Economics since you clearly know more about tariffs than Trump and his team.

That’s not a team but groveling lackeys whose jobs are to sing praise of Trump.

Tariffs need to be strategic and carefully planned and need to be legal. Trump’s sledge hammer reciprocal tariffs are just ridiculous numbers by an equally ridiculous formula. They are regressive tax on the people. This is elementary economic. The world has responded that has adversely hit every aspect of US economy and the sad part is that those economic ties that US has enjoyed before will not come back in the near future.

Though you are correct you realize that you're talking about a man who has spent his entire career breaking the law, and earning billions of dollars by stealing other people's money.

The tariffs has badly effect the left and the right. Matter of fact, the tariffs will badly hit red states like Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee, states that voted Trump at double digits.

Well that would be easy because trump and team know sweet FA about economics and tariffs and it is evident in all of the nonsense they spout about the tariffs, and who they ultimately affect.

its not clear if you knew this, but @Jingthing started the original thread on Aseannow about these speculations.  It's unfortunate he did this because while most people ignore such baseless rumors, they feed into the beliefs of conspiracy theorists in the audience.  And in my opinion its unethical to promote content that multiplies their emotional distress.

if only we’d have had the brilliant Harris-Walz team.

Donald Trump has not been seen in public for several days, sparking speculation on social media.

The phrase "Trump is dead" has swiftly dominated social media platforms, including X and Facebook, ignited by President Donald Trump's absence from public appearances for three consecutive days. This unexpected gap in visibility has spurred a flurry of speculation and rumors about his health and status, yet there has been no official confirmation to substantiate these claims.

This speculation has largely been fueled by recent images circulating online, showing Trump with apparent bruising on his hand. These images have raised concerns about potential health issues, although Trump has remained active on Truth Social, seeking to quell fears by interacting with his supporters and maintaining an air of normalcy.

Statements from Vice President JD Vance have further added to the conjecture. In response to questions regarding his preparedness to assume the presidency in the event of a tragedy, Vance expressed confidence in Trump’s excellent health. However, he acknowledged that unanticipated events cannot be ruled out entirely. Vance highlighted Trump's commitment to his role, noting the President’s vigorous work routine, characterized by late nights and early mornings.

Medical experts have weighed in on the situation, suggesting that the bruising on Trump's hand may be attributable to minor medical procedures, such as a recent cannula insertion for intravenous therapy. The White House has confirmed that Trump is managing chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that causes swelling in the legs but is not considered life-threatening. Despite these clarifications, suspicions have persisted, exacerbated by the continuous circulation of speculative content on social media.

The discourse has been further amplified by comments from Matt Groening, creator of "The Simpsons," known for its uncanny predictions. In discussing the show’s future, Groening jokingly tied its eventual conclusion to the death of a US President—a comment that has been eagerly linked by fans to the current situation surrounding Trump.

Although official channels have not validated any of the circulating rumors, the phrase "Trump is dead" continues to trend, illustrating the power of social media to shape public dialogue and sentiment, often detached from verified facts. The rapid spread of such speculation highlights the influence of media narratives and the challenges faced by governmental bodies in combating misinformation in the digital era.

Trump’s recent disclosures regarding his health, including the acknowledgment of CVI, were intended to promote transparency and assuage public concerns. Nevertheless, these attempts have often been overshadowed by the sensationalized nature of online narratives and public discourse.

While social media platforms remain abuzz, insiders confirm Trump’s active engagement with presidential responsibilities, focusing on upcoming strategic meetings and policy decisions. This ongoing involvement reaffirms his role in steering national and international agendas, despite the temporary absence from the public eye.

This situation underscores the intricate interplay between politics, media, and public interest, reflecting the complexities influencing contemporary political dynamics. As the administration endeavors to manage this challenge, it prioritizes transparency and consistent communication to dispel rumors and emphasize its commitment to key policy objectives and effective governance.

In the broader context, this episode highlights the evolving landscape of media consumption and the necessity of fostering balanced and informed dialogue. As information continues to spread at unprecedented speeds, discerning truth from conjecture becomes increasingly vital for both governance and public understanding.

Looking forward, the administration aims to navigate these turbulent waters by reinforcing clarity and maintaining ongoing engagement with the public. By doing so, it seeks to mitigate the impact of unfounded rumors, redirect focus to essential policy initiatives, and uphold the integrity of governmental communication.

"There were no events on his schedule on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, and it was announced that the president would spend his Labor Day weekend in Washington also with no public appearances scheduled. The conspicuous absence lighting conspiratorial corners of the internet and group chats ablaze with speculation about Trump’s wellbeing.

But on Saturday, he emerged, spotted by pool reporters in a white polo, black pants, and signature red “Make America Great Again” hat on the way to his Virginia golf club. Grandchildren Kai Trump and Spencer Trump were also along for the ride (...)"

Trump's dead.  Putin's dead.  <enter a world leader here> is dead.

Propaganda 101 and the buffaloes and buffoons fall for it every time. It's like you get points if you can make stupid people believe stupid things.

Putin and Kim Jong Un definitely deserve to be whacked. As for Trump, his diet should finish him off at some point.

C'mon, don't be so harsh!  Turning him into a pillar of salt would be sufficient.

Trump should just use Mark Twain's quote:
"The report of my death has been greatly exaggerated..."

 But but but but but - Trump has a bruise on his hand.  It's a sure sign of death!!!
 I have a bruise on my elbow.  Bruises happen.

No, that is not the way it works in this forum or MAGA.

You either accept DT as your personal savior or you are an extreme left liberal radical fascist communist.  Get with the program.

That's not the way it works either.  There is no both sides.  You have the people who have no problem with a convicted felon con man compulsive liar as president, who tried to overturn one election and no longer wants fair elections moving forward, who is actively trying to turn the US into a fascist state, and then you have everyone else.

Then you wake up and it's just the Dem's running out of stuff about the Donald and start to invent some nothingburgers to keep uns all entertained.

He's most of the way there on the authoritarian state part.

It's horrifying.

I don't understand how any decent American can be OK with that.

But it's arguably too late now and Vance will continue it.

We shall see.

As I've said before Trump or Vance the maga agenda (authoritarian police state, white nationist, making American a pariah banana republic, Project 2025, consolidating no future real elections) continues and Vance will probably be more competent  furthering that and though not any kind of genius, clearly not insane (as Trump is).
