Do you check your B12, calcium, iron and magnesium levels?

Annually, yes.

I know the PPIs can block the intrinsic factor so I was aware re: B12 could be problematic......but all good.

My main symptom is a swollen throat, and the occasional feeling of something acidic rising in my throat (gassy rather than liquid). However, the swollen, uncomfortable feeling (no pain) lasts for days and sometimes weeks. Having said that, I have no problem with swallowing food, just the constant discomfort.

I would get a throat swab for Gonorrhoea unless you weren't sexually active

It is available online and I think also from Lazada (and iHerb) Garry and not really too expensive. In the links I gave you, there have been some positive outcomes, however I can only speak from my experience.

Certainly my stressful job didn't help, however you've got nothing to lose by trying it....... unless of course you have an hiatal hernia, in which case d-limonene probably won't be of much help. Have you been checked for this condition??

No, I haven't been checked for hiatial hernia.

It can be a cause of GERD!!

I was for several years on Omeprezale, as a counter against the effects of taking ketaprofen. Reflux then became an issue 'because' of the omeprezale - which was just as bad as any other antacid that I was being given... The cure for me was a daily uptake of ACV. Acid reflux no more... I can see the logic now that antacids long-term do make reflux worse because a less acidic stomach cause your sphincter to relax.

The blood rushes to your feet so not a good idea

The body compensates.

Anyway, we are not talking a 45-degree Angle, here.

In space, the blood rushes to the head.

Same diff, but opposite.

The body compensates.

Try a slight incline, at first.

See how it goes.

Only found liquid form on Lazada, which is not for consumption purposes, but found it on iHerb - Baht 979 for 10 capsules. I shall try to check if I can buy it anywhere else at a more reasonable price.

Too expensive Garry.....try this from iHerb and they will get here within a week. Take 2 at once and see how they go, in the meantime I will search for others.....

Speak of the devil, my order of D-limonene just arrived this morning from iHerb. Only 250mg capsules as per your previous post. So it looks like I'll have to take 4 every other day for 20 days. A bit nervous, but I'll give it a go.  Just need to read up a bit more about when to take it.

You could start with 2 capsules per day and see if that has any effect Garry. Also there are some reports on the net about d-limonene, so take a look at those..........good luck.

PS. As I mentioned before, if you have a hiatal hernia nothing much is going to help, so let's hope this is not the case!!

From reading a website on this, I will go with 2 capsules per day for 1 to 2 weeks, to determine my tolerence and if I do not suffer from any of the potential side effects, will then increase to 4 capsules per day.

Not lying down too soon after eating seems to help me.  I need to give it at least 2 hours.  Use a recliner instead of couch surfing.

After taking this for about 6 weeks, I have not really seen an improvement in my silent reflux. However, it did improve my digestion.

Perhaps try a bigger dose and thinking back, my original dose was 1000mg per day.

I think I bought mine from the company in the link below.......it was over 15 years ago so that's why my memory is a little hazy (sorry about that).

The shipping cost is more than the product from Wellness Resources. I have just re-ordered from i-Herb and will have to increase the number of capsules I take as they are only 250mg.

I upped the dose to 1000mg, but no real improvement. I will just finish my current supply and then give up.

In the early stages of my reflux a new PPI called Nexium was produced which was supposed to have been the best yet, but it was expensive back then.....have you tried that??

Also as I mentioned earlier have you been checked for a hiatial hernia?? Keep trying Garry and hopefully there will be something that works......sometimes in these cases it is "trial and error". Good luck.
