A Russian man has stirred controversy after flaunting his disregard for Thai law with a reckless sexual stunt in Phuket. A video from 24th September showed 23-year-old Mr. Georgii, of Russian nationality, engaging in explicit activities with a Thai woman on the back of a pickup truck. The event took place openly on Chalerm Phra Kiat R.9 Road, drawing widespread attention and swift legal action.

Phuket tourist police quickly apprehended Mr. Georgii at Suvarnabhumi Airport along with the involved Thai woman, Ms. Bee, aged 42. They faced charges for their public indecency. Another Russian, 25-year-old Mr. Alex, who drove the vehicle, was also arrested and charged with several offences, including supporting obscene content and reckless driving.

Despite legal repercussions, Mr. Georgii remains unfazed, posting about his arrest on his Instagram and Telegram accounts, as reported by "Phuket Times".The incident has sparked significant online criticism, with many netizens lamenting the leniency of Thailand's penalties and calling for stricter enforcement.

Looking forward, this incident has prompted discussions about the adequacy of Thailand’s legal framework for deterring such behaviours. While the individuals involved face legal consequences, the public's reaction indicates a desire for more stringent measures to prevent future misconduct by tourists. Authorities may need to consider bolstering regulations to maintain respect for local laws.

Key Takeaways

Mr. Georgii and his accomplices were arrested for public indecency in Phuket.
Despite legal actions, the Russian man mocked the incident online.

Maybe if he got 6 months in a Thai jail, then deported and banned he would have a better attitude?

Surprised no one has mentioned the age difference here. 23 year old man and 42 year old woman. I thought this was frowned upon in russia

In the old days (BC, before Covid) a 12 month retirement visa required that, before leaving home country,  you could prove that you did not have leprosy (doctor's note), that you had enough money in the bank (bank letter), and that you did not have a criminal record.

Is the criminal record (lack thereof) still enforced?

Surely, idiots like this Russki would never have been able to prove that he was as pure as the driven snow  if this requirement were still in force?

Are you suggesting he should have gone undercover - a secret service ?

All in all - he accomplished his designated mission - infiltrated the oft diplomatically denied scene under cover of darkness, completely exposed and got to the bottom of the matter - was in and out in rapid fashion.

Operation "exhaust pipe" went swimmingly.

May very well be but the last time i checked i saw we are in Thailand.

Maybe it was an offence but it surely wasn't that onerous to deserve jail?

What would they do in developed countries?

Typical russian, brave outside moscow and russia a chicken inside, most likely 5 yrs in siberian mines for stunt like this if in russia

give him 6 months in Thai jail with large boys and it will clean up his attitude and developed some respect for other countries….

Might have been under the impression that laws are not enforced for just about anything happening on the roads.

There were no warnings about possible exceptions...

There needs to be tougher penalties

The law as it is is a joke a slap on the wrist small fines

Seems as though the authorities are afraid of handing out tougher sentences to Tourists. In case it affects the Tourist numbers coming to Thailand

Pattaya and Phuket are regularly in the news for all the wrong reasons 😱

She's already served her hard time.

Thailand is in charge of its own destiny and if they dont get their policing & legal situation sorted quickly they will further pay the price!

Take a look at Singapore, almost 20 million tourists annually and all of those tourists behave because they know they have to and crossing the line means the offenders faces the consequences of Singapores law.

Right now visitors like these Russians have no respect for Thai laws and blatantly flaunt them, Thailands quest for open borders with no police checks along with a corrupted police force and weak legal system are doing the nation no favours for the financial gain of a very few!

Say what you like, the legalised cannabis law is just another step into the abyss because not only in many cases does it attract the wrong type of tourist but those users become associated with sellers of not just cannabis but other illegal substances so it opens the doors for wider spread drug use!

So was the Thai - Cambodian border conflict really about borders or was it about money & power?

At my age I consider 42 young 😀

Forty million tourists a year, one or two do mad stunts like this, it is not the end of the world.

I am sure a lot worse goes on in Pattaya, Soi 6 etc and is never on the news as it is a common event.

It could be worse I suppose, for example, he could go and shoot up kids in a school, shoot a politician, or place of worship, inter gang murders, it seems to be a common event in the USA.

And  Thailand is at a loss to explain why people are avoiding the country.

Nothing but BRICS yobbos infecting the tourist areas.  Thailand put all its eggs in this basket and now it is reaping its just rewards.

Supporting obscene conduct. I've never heard of that law before. Conduct like this is very inappropriate, it couldn't give people strange ideas, and it could help to tear apart the moral fabric of society.

The news should have been, around 40 million tourists visit Thailand, a few of them get up to no good, the rest are not in the news as their actions are not newsworthy.

Looks like this disrespectful POS needs to spend some time in a cell with some who’ll show him exactly what getting f**ked is all about.

No. Should be Russia as he has shown his "meat" qualifies him for Russian soldier meat brigades.
