Immigration Police, working with the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), have arrested a 40-year-old African man wanted by Interpol for international drug trafficking. The suspect, identified as Emmanuel Abbo, was detained in Bangkok’s Pratunam area on 1 October 2025 after more than a year in hiding. His arrest took place on Phetchaburi Road in full view of the public.

Emmanuel had entered Thailand on a 60-day tourist visa in 2016, which had long expired. He was wanted internationally for smuggling nearly 19 kilograms of narcotics to South Korea. Acting on new intelligence reports, Immigration Bureau officers launched a joint operation to track him down.

Police searched Emmanuel’s hotel room in Pratunam with the hotel manager present as a witness. Officers seized one 9mm pistol, two modified blank guns, almost 80 rounds of ammunition, and drug paraphernalia. Narcotics found included over 2 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1 gram of MDMA and one green methamphetamine pill.

Emmanuel denied ownership of the weapons and drugs, claiming they belonged to acquaintances. However, a hospital urine test returned positive for methamphetamine. He later admitted to using crystal meth, though he said he had not consumed it on the day of his arrest.

Authorities have charged him with overstaying his visa, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, illegal possession of Category 1 narcotics and drug consumption. He has been handed over to Immigration Bureau investigators for prosecution.

Officials confirmed that coordination with Interpol and South Korean authorities will follow to address the outstanding international warrant.

Bye bye if he's going to South Korea . Won't be seeing the light if day again , that's if they don't execute him due to amount of drugs he smuggled to Korea.

Wow it seems like these inner warrants worked very well except in the case of Red Bull kid where he’s been walking around living the good life even though he ran down a cop and killed him TIT

Send this punk home on the slow boat ASAP!

Love the Picasso tee.

Obviously you are too lazy to read the whole article.

Interpol warrant was for ROK crime.  Let Koreans have their due process.  If he lives through that, then back to Thailand for a dose of Thai work farm.

9 years overstay. Quite impressive.

Yes, but to be completely fair, the kid is a billionaire and ferraris are notoriously difficult to control, and he was only driving slowly anyway, and the cocaine in his system was from a routine dental procedure, and the butler did it, and the case governing big police man went live on air outside his house saying he would resign if justice wasn't met, and he didn't, so he's the liar, not him, and nobody was paid off, and the victim's family forgave him, and all the witnesses provided truthful testimony and apparently there was an interpol warrant issued, but obviously nobody knows his whereabouts or have anything substantive on him, proving he's completely innocent. TIT

They are not warrants, there is no such thing as an "international arrest warrant" (the EU can issue European arrest warrants) they are advisory notices and Interpol-member police forces are under no obligation to take any action on them.   I'd guess that being wanted for a traffic offence in Thailand doesn't pique too much interest with other nations' police forces.

Indeed they did, after they were paid several million baht compensation even though he was a single man with no wife or children to support.

What good would knowing his whereabouts be and what do you mean by no one having anything substantive on him?

Give it up. The palms have been greased.  Nobody's looking for him. Accept that, or you'll be miserable living in LOS.

He'll be back when the statute of limitation expires.

Hotels should be required to deny occupancy to foreigners without a currant visa.  Extend or go home!

IF he is a Brit we don't want him back here~let him rot in Thailand or South Korea.

Does that mean is was organic?

And if that search is successful how does it help the RTP if he's not in Thailand?

Is he?

Yes, this really is a scandal.   With all their hi-tech stuff.   And if it wouldn't have been for Interpol, he might well have been here for another 9 years!!!

Hope this guy gets liots of jail time then deported to his home country with life time ban.

No country needs someone like him. IMO

We have no way of knowing if the perp has or had a British passport.

Thus my question remains relevant.
