Prison is a terribly boring place for anyone to be.

 

I feel bad for Mr Thaksin.

 

I am glad he wil do something productive like teach English.

As Taksin has a Doctorate in Criminology from Sam Houston State University, and has lectured at Mahidol University, maybe he should be teaching criminology.

It's very messed up. Elected leaders are imprisoned under new constitutions drafted by military regimes, while the leaders run free, lauded as heroes.  

 

Everyone is hating on Thaksin, but he could have continued to live his life of luxury abroad, yet he came back for his reckoning.

His doctorate is in criminology. Surely he should be teaching how to avoid being a criminal? Or how to avoid being caught.

I also have heard him speak English in person and I was impressed. 

He will get a soft job for sure and the farangs that are inside the hilton many speak thai fluently anyway.So teaching english  many can do it.thaksim will allready have the wheels turning for his time inside

I think that rather depends on who you mix with. I am far from moving in "hi so" circles but know several Thais who speak English quite well.

 

Pronunciation of "r" and "l" are "dead spots" amongst many, perhaps most South East Asians when speaking Thai.
