No matter what your opinion is the fact remains some of these things are worth big money. My opinion is it's religious superstition.

There is a huge and expensive market for these between collectors, some are very big money!

Agreed.... aren't they supposed to bring good fortune too.... perhaps not in this case.

What's a 93 year old doing, having such valuable stuff simply ''ín his house'?

One point I don't understand. Why didn't the amulets protect the old man from the theft?

You see many, many, many poor people with these things. Religious superstition as I said.

His choice.  What his age got to do with it?  Where was it reported that he kept the amulets "simply in his house"...perhaps he took them out of a secure place in order to show them to the apparent potential buyer?

Come on, a 93 year old will not be so mentally aware, or physically able to stop a determined criminal.

Come on, you know him or anything about him?

Poor old fella , he must not have had the Anti -Theft amulet.....

old people, if they live alone, should get anything of high value out of the place.

or at least small items like amulets that can be easily stolen.

so his grandchildren's inheritance is gone now or what?

At least he's still alive to live another day, let's hope he makes it to 100!

Sorry I replied with an obvious answer, and you come back with a stupid remark.

I do not know anything about the guy who shot the USA Politician, but I know he did wrong.

This older man, 93, was rather stupid to keep the 'valuable' amulets in his home and show them to others. And must be rather confused to quote such values. Only if someone is willing to pay are they worth it.
