A bit confused following the logic on this one. You are suggesting that someone who discovers his wife was cheating on him with her 'brother-in-law' and perhaps even cheated him out of his bar, should control his emotions or be thrown out of Thailand?

By partner I did mean either a wife or girlfriend.  If you are living with a girlfriend who isn't working, you are providing for her, as long as she does her share of the household duties. You are putting in the money, but it's not a transaction like that with a prostitute. If she does nothing and just sits around and gives you sex, that's quite different.

 

There doesn't have to be children involved in a marriage, but if there is, you're providing for them also. In most marriages these days, both the husband and the wife needs to work to make ends meet. The wife should stay home until the children are into school at 5, although some can afford day care at three. Any earlier should be the wife and husband in the home, taking care for the children instead of a stranger. . Simp means a man who allows a woman to walk all over him, or one that has to pay for his women for sex, because he can't find a normal woman to be with.

What you at first described is a narcissist. One who love bombs until they get the other person hooked, then degrades them, takes from them, uses them, cheats, takes money then either leaves or sits back doing the same things until the victim gets tired of the abuse.

 

A Nice Guy doesn't do this. They don't use women but sometimes allow themselves to be used. Yes, a nice guy can be walked on by women who are narcissists, greedy or mentally ill, at least until he himself gets tired of the abuse and leaves.

 

This is something most men learn by age 20 or so, and further along the way. Women and men are equals, and should be treated as such. Any man that doesn't believe this is a simp who was never taught respect by his main role model, his dad. I don't go by other's barstool opinions of what makes a person what they are. Some are misogynists or narcissists that others follow because they are clueless. Time, experience, observation and research makes it easy to spot others true colors.
