Maybe a wakeup call for the families who have made collecting aid a way of life.

Wake up and do what exactly?? The notion that families deliberately choose to rely on aid as a lifestyle is a misconception.

In reality, many individuals and families turn to assistance programs like SNAP due to systemic issues such as poverty, unemployment, underemployment, and inadequate wages. Corporate greed and low minimum wages certainly contribute to these problems, making it difficult for people to afford basic necessities like food.

Government shutdowns and the resulting disruptions to aid programs can exacerbate these challenges, potentially leading to increased food insecurity and social unrest. However, it's essential to recognize that those relying on SNAP are not doing so by choice but out of necessity.

Addressing the root causes of poverty and ensuring fair wages would be more effective solutions than stigmatizing those in need like you do.

The Great Society Welfare programs have destroyed generations of families.   There has been a pile of money spent with little gain.

The working poor get food stamps.  The USA subsdizes companies like Walmart who do not pay a living wage by providing their employees food stamps/EBT cards.

Families with children get food stamps.  Not small percentages.  Lot's of children.

Honestly, I don't give a damn if a small percentage of people get them that don't deserve them to ensure that the people who are hungry do.

I paid taxes in the USA for years and I don't see a more important use of my tax money than to feed hungry people.

I can't wrap my head around "Christians" who think otherwise.

Are you saying that welfare isn't abused nation wide?  There's something wrong when folks on food stamps eat better than hard working individuals.

I've been there paying for my groceries, having the cart ahead of me buy more and better quality and pay with food stamps.

Is being armed now necessary to go grocery shopping?

Maybe a wakeup call for the families who have made collecting aid a way of life.

Saw a few videos on YouTube of people gleefully threatening to rob stores or other paying customers of their groceries if "their" free food is taken away.

Something along the lines of "they food stamps betta be 'der or I'm gunna get mine know wad I sayin' hayellll yeahhh uh huh mmm hmmm" while wagging a finger and shaking their head with eyebrows raised.

So yes, expect a violent reaction.

And how about this gem here...

All about what we were brainwashed to believe when we were still in those naive years....

Stop whining and be thankful you  and myself included are able to take care of ourselves.to me the point is hungry children not the nonsense virtue signaling by those in the trump party. The dems voted it down because the bill didn’t include health care tax cuts as I suspect you and the rest know.gotta make sure we subsidize those billionaires and to heck with everyone else ehh?

Wrap your head around this

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0049089X21000752#:~:text=rights and content-,Abstract,(Giving USA%2C 2020).

Our meta-analysis results suggest that political conservatives are significantly more charitable than liberals at an overall level, but the relationship between political ideology and charitable giving varies under different scenarios. Furthermore, meta-regression results indicate that the measure of charitable giving, the type of charitable giving, and controlling for religiosity can account for the variation in effect sizes.

Ahh, the good old "hungry children" routine. Please show me just one instance of kids dying from hunger in the USA. Just one.....you can't

You can't have everything, dems are choosing their agenda over your hungry children.

They are choosing to try and protect access to healthcare and snap benefits….and I to have been annoyed by having to wait out the food stamp recipients at the checkout it’s not that big of a deal.

They need to shut down that an entire program for good. It's fueling obesity and being used to bribe voters and tax payer expensive.

If people really are starving they can re-apply and receive government rice and bean rations with some various canned food. Anyone on SNAP shouldn't allowed to eat better than WWII infantry in the trenches.

I'll bet they don't complain about the price of beef or coffee.

Is this Chuck Schumer grand plan?

Dem gains in the 2026 mid-terms depend on them tanking the economy between now and then.  They don't care how many Americans they have to hurt to gain some seats.  They're determined to tank the US economy.

It's all these slop programs. Section 8, SNAP and a big fat mess with 6 children, all funded on tax payer dollars. These programs are a joke they all need to be shut down yesterday.

Dear God!

The solution to everything - shoot someone, or just an excuse to strut your stuff armed to the teeth?

No I am saying when you have multi billionaires running companies that are bigger than GDPs of entire countries calling the shots, paying out a pittance to employees, something is wrong in the system not the families forced into SNAP as a way of life.

That might just be because they have been fed using food stamps.

Still, if the level of malnutrition amongst the children of the poor increases, and they have no access to healthcare, then nature has a way of solving the problem.

Might have to turn up the sound system in the glitzy new ballroom to drown out the noise of wailing though...

We have the fattest poor people in the world.

Good luck fixing that 500 year old issue before the mostly peaceful SNAP riots, arson and looting start.
