Narcotics officers have arrested three suspects and seized over 3.64 million methamphetamine pills following a major drug bust at a luxury Thai-style mansion in Chonburi province. The operation, led by senior police officials from the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) and Chonburi Provincial Police, is among the largest drug seizures in the region this year. The drugs, hidden inside the residence, were valued in the tens of millions of baht.

The arrests took place on the evening of 1 November 2025 at a property located at 99/9, Moo 4, Nong Hiang Subdistrict, Phan Thong District. Police apprehended the main suspect, Mr. Wiboon Sapprasert, along with two accomplices identified as “Mr. Nat” and “Mr. James.” Officers confiscated 3,640,000 meth pills, one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine, four cars and four mobile phones, as well as assets worth around 50 million baht linked to the trafficking network.

At a press conference, Pol. Lt. Gen. Archay Kraithong, Commissioner of the NSB, announced the operation’s success alongside Pol. Maj. Gen. Worapoj Dissayabut, Pol. Maj. Gen. Adis Charoensawat, and Pol. Maj. Gen. Pongsaporn Wongmaneetes, the Chonburi Provincial Police Commander. “We have dismantled a key node in a large-scale drug distribution network operating across provinces,” Pol. Lt. Gen. Archay said. “No luxury hideout will shield traffickers from justice.”

Investigations revealed that the drugs were trafficked from Chiang Rai province, an area known for cross-border narcotics smuggling. According to the suspects’ confessions, the group used custom-made shrimp transport tanks to conceal the methamphetamine pills. The lower section of each tank held the drugs, while the upper section contained live shrimp, water and oxygen tubes to disguise the load as a legitimate seafood shipment.

The suspects admitted to conducting about ten deliveries using this method, temporarily storing the drugs in Pak Fa Subdistrict, Ko Chan District, before wider distribution. They were paid 200,000 baht per trip. Police seized additional vehicles at the mansion, including five pickup trucks, two Toyota Fortuners, one Nissan Teana, one sedan, one motorcycle and one tractor.

Authorities said the operation represents a significant blow to the regional drug trade and that investigations are continuing to identify other members of the network and trace financial connections. Further charges are expected as evidence is processed and money-laundering activities are examined.

How many ghost houses will that build??

are highways and major roads and toll booths up and down Thailand equipped with CCTVs?  I am pretty sure some monitoring or recording is possible.  For forensics, viewing those would show the travel routes and other vehicles used, although it seems like the people they arrested are pretty much giving up all the details

If they have Google Maps on their phone you might be surprised how many people don't know Timeline records your movements each day.

Okay parties canceled now.

Thanks and appreciation for some fine Police work.  Keep up the fight boys.

Come on, who counted them?  I swear they just pull these numbers out of a katoey's rectum.

There are machines to count pills, but my guess is that they weigh an amount (say 1kg) count them, then weigh the whole catch and do the sums.

So they managed to get the pills down to Bangkok from Chiang Rai,

then go and store them in the same house ! , just saying , glad it's

off the streets that is a terrible drug .ruins so many lives ..

not even that, just weigh one pill then divide by the total weight.

Or do the same for a package and multiply by the number of packages. Is some idiot really suggesting they counted each pill individually!
