What would actually have happened is that she would have appointed competent intelligent people to help her create and implement effective public policy.  No disaster, just policy which you might disagree with and could vote against in the next election.  On the whole though, rationality and pragmatism would have prevailed. 

 

Instead you got what you wanted, a government incapable of effectively implementing humane policy because it's head has no interest in much more than the exercise of personal power.
