Ex-con photographer RJ Decker becomes a PI in South Florida, solving strange cases with help from his journalist ex, her cop wife, and an enigmatic woman from his past who may help or destroy him.

Hostage

Episode 1 was excellent.

What really happened to John Cantlie? This three-part documentary builds on the acclaimed Last Man Standing podcast to investigate the British photojournalist who “went into the hornets’ nest” for a news story and was kidnapped by a group of British Islamic State extremists in Syria.

Fellow hostages, politicians, including David Cameron, and imprisoned jihadis tell the story.

Watched a good "western" movie which I have seen before, called. "Open Range" starring Robert Duvall, Kevin Costner, Annette Benning and Michael Gambon and imo it still stands as a good unerrated Western, with some excellent gunfighting scenes in it, for those interested.

Also watched probably Gerard Butler's best movie yet, called "Law Abiding Citizen" and really didn't like the character played by Jamie Foxx, but them's the breakes!!

I enjoyed Robert Duval in Open Range and also the Lonesome Dove series. Gerard Butler is a favourite of mine and as you say, Law Abiding Citizen is probably his best movie, but I also enjoyed his performance as King Leonidas in 300 and IMHO he also played a good part in Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla as One-two.

This looks interesting enough. Out now...

That's helpful. Maybe try and include an IMDb link next time.

It blows there was never a sequel to RocknRolla, that was a great picture.

Did you watch it yet ? Looks pretty funny.

I decided to take another look at Ronin, which starred, amongst others, Robert De Niro, as I remember enjoying it a few years back so I managed to find a good download and got into it.

Still enjoyable although I'm still none the wiser as to what was in the "silver coloured case" and no amount of searching has come up with the answer!

Mentioning Robert De Niro, reminds me that I might want to have another look at a movie called "Red Lights".........

Thanks saves me the download.

I saw mention of the movie "Robin Hood" which prompted me to download one version made in 2018 and starring Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx, amongst others, and I could put up with about 15 minutes of it before switching it off. IMO a poor version and one more suited to kids and the bored. It had an IMDb rating of 5.4, so I should have known by this and it was not a "top-notch" movie.

Also tried to watch the movie "Deadwood" and switched it off after about the same time, mainly because I haven't seen any of the previous series and it would seem as though this movie relied upon some history to make it work.

The Robin Hood recently discussed was a 10 episode series, likely with a season 2 coming eventually.

I liked it, a remake of "return of the living dead"

With Liam Neeson as the army guy.

I liked this movie although usually I find his movies very predictable but this was good. "Shelter" is a 2026 action thriller starring Jason Statham...The girl, Bodhi Rae Breathnach is a young Irish-English actress, was very good in this movie.

I just noticed The Capture is back, E01 must have been last night .. The first season was good.

Just finished War machine,

Jack Reacher fights a Transformer and wins.

A bit of frantic mass killing.

The Capture, season 3. Only 2 episodes this season. They must be tying up all the loose ends.
