That's not anything new but now even more so.

Years ago I was with a small group of Australians on a tour of Turkey.

It was during a previous non-Trump election season.

They were complaining to me loudly that the only thing they were hearing on media was about U.S. politics. I had to admit that I knew nothing about Australian politics.

I guess as the U.S. "empire" fades away, that would presumably lessen and give some relief to many.

If I talk to someone it's usually where am I from, what do I do for work etc. small stuff.
