I know what they are. I'm asking why?

Alcohol wipes became a feature of the covidphobe, but scented, lanolin treated, perfumed or moisturizing wet wipes are for girls and girlymen. Maybe they're really w__k wipes?

Heaven's sake man! They are used to wipe your bum after taking a dump, espeically if (heaven forbid), there is no bum gun.

What a stupid topic to be concerned about, if people need to take a bag then take it, if not then do not, what difference does it make?

Been carrying the same model Eagle Creek shoulder bag for more than twenty-years. Can carry most of what I need, currently I usually carry phone, glasses case, paper wipes, etc. but there is room for more if need be.

If I am traveling out of province I add my passport in a Eagle Creek passport bag which has its stitching needing attention. Buy good quality and it should last for years, style be damned.

Still on EBay for $20. https://www.ebay.com/itm/157630400631

I like beaches. Most bars in Thailand are boring. Prefer riding motorbikes and doing things. Beer isnt cheap in bars and Thai beers arent much good.

To summarise:

Beaches suck here.

Bars are boring here.

Motorbikes attract high mortality rates here

Beer is expensive here

Beer is bland here.

And you're still here.

Walking 10km without vitamins is not a good idea. Power bank for the mrs.

I dont sit in condos doing nothing.

So you live in a condo, how crap-e is that, no wonder you hate Thailand with such a low living standard.

And you said beer is expensive, you can't have much money then if you think that is the case.

A bar probably becomes boring if you are in it. 😀

I use a small one. After being pickpocketed years ago, I started putting everything in my front pockets and found the bag to be more comfortable. There don't seem to be many professional pickpockets here in Thailand, but where there are, buttons and zippers are just speed bumps. In southern Mexico, they use razor blades to slit the pocket so that the wallet just falls out. In my case, there were 3 that worked together while I was boarding a bus.

Pockets yes - Cargo Pants NEVER..

It depends on design.....Some are well cut & designed ....Others look bulky, rough, & patchwork.....

I bought a belly pack in Chatuchak about 25 years ago for $9, multiple zippered pockets, been using it all over the world, never once pickpocketed. Sorry, no Man Purses for this guy, crossover or whatever. Mine sits under my shirts, you may not even know its there.

Funny take. Plenty of very wealthy people who actually travel the world deliberately choose condo living — security, lock-and-leave convenience, and zero maintenance dramas while they’re away. When they are home, it’s usually panoramic views, rooftop gardens, pools, gyms, and on-site staff — not chasing gardeners or worrying about break-ins.

But hey, enjoy the soi dogs, fences, and sleepless nights. If you ever get fortunate enough to sample the high life, you might understand why condos exist 😉

How handy can you make it? And how elegant can you pull out your items or devices?

Ditched the wallet ages ago.

Phone does payments, digital cards, bankbook and licence.

Cash is just an emergency fallback now.

It's Thailand, many things are still cash buys, eg my local fresh fruit and veg market, wallet also holds debit card, and both Thai drivers licences, and for some stupid, nostalgic, reason, my Australian driver's licence.

Photos of Thai licences on your phone are accepted. My Australian licence (NSW) is now digital, maybe not in your State. Every fruit and veg market in Thailand has a QR code displayed or on their banking app - if not (which I have once in 5 years in Thailand) buy something from a nearby shop and buy some cash from them as well to give to the ‘cash only’ shop.

If its behind you, how can you get anything out of it, it basically becomes non-functional, so whats the point. I’ll stick with my Belly pack Thank You Very Much…… Peace

At least 2 fruit & veg markets near me, do not have QR... So I assume many don't, including roadside stalls, another thing, cash is quicker, Bolt driver, taxis etc prefer it.

Bolt app links to your bank account, so no cash is required.

Very unusual that a market or roadside vendor doesn’t have their banking details available to enable them to receive payments electronically, if so, get them their cash from a nearby vendor - as already explained.

You can slide it around from back to front in a fraction of a second. That's like saying backpacks are non-functional because they are behind you.
