Does anyone seriously tbink that a 20K THB fine is going to bother someone who rents a Porsche? 100K fine...perhaps. Better jail time and/ or immediate deportation.

Just as is done in your country, fines and prison sentences are not arbitrary, they are laid down specifically in law.

Would love to see this kind of enforcement across the board in thailand to anyone who drives like this.

So the cops didn't catch him then but members of the public, who are the worse drivers I have ever come across, why should speeding be an immigration issue ? at least he didn't have an accident...coffee1

The committing of offences by foreigners with temporary permission to stay in Thailand is an immigration issue.

Road markings on the islands are a joke everyday you will see bikers and motorists overtaking on the solid yellow lines they blatantly ignore the road markings

It's no different with traffic lights, more and more people are running red lights.

But I can understand it to some extent now that traffic lights are being installed in the most nonsensical places throughout Thailand, and it's often pointless to wait for a red light if there is no other traffic.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to install detection loops in the road, or am I asking too much?

I would have thought with that unique Hairstyle, he would have been able to tune into the police radio frequency and evaid capture.

That's a serious 21st century Transceiver style cut, it's an upgrade from the old My Favourite Martian, not easy to create.

Hope he get blacklisted. The same i hope for the Arabs on motorcycles only making problems.

Another media attention seeker getting the attention he craves, but for the wrong reason. It’s obvious in the picture, by him turning his back to the camera, the contempt he feels towards the police for them doing their job. In doing so ruining his pathetic attempt to impress his girlfriend with his driving ability in an expensive performance car, not caring about other road users or the potential damage to the vehicle itself.

Seem’s to me this moron needs to grow up and learn to act his age, not his shoe size. I hope the police do penalise him to the max and immigration blacklist him. He has nobody other himself to blame and the next time he looks in the mirror he’ll see the <deleted>, complete with ridiculous hairstyle, that phuked his stay in Thailand up.

I had the same thought. He even has the skinny legs, but then I noticed they were not black.

He is displaying his contempt for authority and arrogance.

If he had faced the camera, his face would have been blurred, as is required in Thailand unless he is found guilty.

1 year for the driving.

5 years for driving a Porsche.

20 years for the hairstyle.

He is entitled to anonymity at this stage if he chooses.

No wonder he doesn’t want to face the camera with that hair cut.

The 86% that contribute to RTA fatalities aren't tooling around in supercars. They're on 2-wheels.

Fine, deport and blacklist this fool.

Does it matter what vehicle they’re using to inflict the carnage so prevalent on Thai roads?

suggest that far too many tourists seem to arrive in places like Koh Samui and suddenly suspend all sense of self-preservation and respect for others.

Lived on Samui 15 years, now in Pattaya 5 years.

I was scared driving on Samui last time I visited.

Problem is that a songtow costs 10 baht here, Samui has taxi mafia so tourists rent without any clue how to ride in Thailand

Thai don't know how to drive in roundabout "Wng weīyn"

It doesn't matter whether it's a roundabout or a traffic light, they just drive on, and last weekend I saw several people driving through a red light. What a mentality those people have!

Even after living here for almost 30 years, I'm still amazed every day by the traffic mentality.

BTW but sorry this "Wng weīyn" I don't understand.

That's funny, but as it happens, I have a Belgian neighbor, and he doesn't know the word “roundabout.”
