I found this Australian App called,"Toilet Map". it's very handy when you visit a town and you have no idea where a public toilet is which is a pain in the a..se especially when you need to do a no.2. Anyway when you open the App it will indicate all public toilets in close proximity to your location on it's map as long as you have "Location" set to "On".

I wonder if Thailand has a similar App and if not then get a smart IT Thai person to create one.

Yeah right , the first thing I need to know when I hit town is where are the public toilets!!

I'm sure there are plenty of similar apps used by the gay "community"

And what about the toilet paper for people who <deleted> anywhere ?

In a situation like the Russian guy suffered, if bothered, you remove your underwear and use them.

Desperate situations call for desperate measures.

socks first if you are wearing any , then underpants, and finally if its still not ones shirt.

I guess that goes some way to explaining the number of shirtless tourists hangin around in the mid day sun,

So its not Just "mad dogs and englishmen" as in the song , so maybe the words need to be altered to be more inclusive , I believe that's all the rage these days, although it would require a linguist as skilled as noel coward himself to include "and the fecally incontinent" into the lyric without spoiling the rhythm

To me, it's irrelevant that he was a Russian, an American mad maga hatter, or whatever else.

I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt that this wasn't a choice but rather an "explosive" situation beyond his control or the capabilities of his sphincter to hold back any longer.

Also consider a rough motorcycle ride could serve to shake things up.

Never happened to me but what human being hasn't had occasion to need to run to a toilet, have a surprising shart in your clothes, etc.

Does my compassion for this miserable public <deleted>ter make me a bleeding butt liberal?

No it's a logical immediate thought for any compassionate person.

Fortunately I'm regular and that's normally dealt with first thing in the morning.

But as an old man of 70 I've needed strategic awareness for No.1s for several years now 555

Must have been hanging out with the Indians too long

Not less than a week ago there was some member excoriating me over my view and opinion of Pattaya. He stated I was clueless and that Pattaya was not the place that I remember 25 years ago. Yeah, it appears to be worse

I think it is a reflection of the current culture. It was destroyed over a century of callous and murderous leadership. Stalin, Lenin, Khruschev, now Putin. They have become somewhat savage and crude. No grace, no finesse, no courtesy. Rather uncivilized. My family was from Russia a few generations back. I used to ask my great-grandmother when she was still around, why they didn't teach us anything about the old country. She would give me this look, and tell me "the reason we never taught you about the place we came from, is because the place we came from was the most horrific country on earth, it was the most destitute, horrible, oppressive place and we were thrilled to finally get out of there and leave it behind. That's why we don't teach you about the old country, the old country doesn't exist for us.

There are a multitude of reasons why very few around the world have sympathy for the Russians. Those reasons are not limited to their serial killing, despot, thieving multi billionaire dictator for life. It is more about their nature, their history as ruthless, homicidal Cossack warriors, and their total lack of manners, and class. Not to mention the dignity, class, decency, civility, and social skills decades of Leninism, Stalinism, and now Putinism has stripped them of.

And of course, the utter failure of their leader. This is a clear case of psychological projection: Putin dreamt and failed to create a dollar-free world and establish Russia as an “energy superpower.” He allowed corruption to metastasize through the state’s fabric, undermining its security capabilities. With its mass emigration, skyrocketing divorce rate, and low fertility, Russia, more than the West, demonstrates an immense collapse of family and social values. Russia is a completely lost nation.

Garbage. We don't even know if he was Russian. But rave on.

Thanks for the cut and paste from your previous rants..

You forgot about the centi millionaires and the fact you would never go back to the US unless you got a 3 million dollar stipend.

It does get boring reading the same stuff over and over after a while.

How many times do we need to hear quantity over quality except at a two dollar swap meet?

Get some original content

Yeah, that's absolutely mental. He has WAY too much time on his hands

Ironically, spidermite is a socialist.

Yeah, Bolshevism...Still with us today - but it's not coming out of Russia. The revolution was entirely financed by Jewish money and many Soviet figures were Jewish as well including NKVD.

Yagoda... any input?

You're back! And, didn't I say you would be! Called that one right. Still clueless, by the way. I do hope you've gotten your application to the Just Can't Quit Pattaya Fan Club by now. Have fun with all the other members who, well, just can't quit Pattaya--even after 25 years! (No, that's not a record, sorry, but certainly in the ballpark.)

As for the story, Pattaya gets something like 15 million visitors a year, not counting you, of course. Will some be not-so well-behaved? Sure. Will some incidents occur with those 15 million? Sure. Happens in Pattaya, happens in other popular tourist cities, too. The other day some tourists were filmed having sex in a tuk-tuk. Pattaya? No, Phuket. How about the naked tourist bathing himself in a fountain? Pattaya? Nope. Bangkok. How about pooping in public? Just Pattaya? No, again. A Wisconsin town apparently had a serial public pooper and had to use a drone to catch him.

How about tourists caught having sex on the beach? That's always good for lots of negative comments. Just Pattaya? Nope. Also Phuket. And, also Daytona Beach. Yes, Daytona Beach. And, of course, it's happened on beaches in other places, too. And, will again at some point in Pattaya and Phuket both, and Daytona, too. Goes with being a popular tourist destination.

Likely tomorrow or the next day some Pattaya tourist will do this embarrassing thing or that embarrassing thing and it will be a one-day scandal on Asean Now, but likely nowhere else. Or, maybe it will be Phuket's turn. Or, Bangkok's. Who knows. All three cities have been in the top 20 of most visited cities in the world. Putting up with some bad behavior--goes with being three very popular tourist destinations.

Just one more excellent example of Ki-Farang in Pattaya?

Love the video, by the way...

Thank you for driving home the point of my post with your link to the dead Jomtien tourist, one of the 15 million who visited Pattaya. So, not only do a few of the millions of tourists visiting do some not-so nice things, some also die. Phuket had 114 road deaths in 2025 and just this month two tourists were killed in Phuket by a Russian driver. I wonder if you got on the Phuket Forum and commented on their deaths.

As I said before, this can be expected in places that host large numbers of tourists. It's nothing new, it's always been the case. The 1893 Chicago Exposition had a major fire that killed 17, followed-up by Chicago's mayor being assassinated at the close of the fair. Bad things can, and do, happen, and, surprise, not just in Pattaya, or Jomtien, or Phuket. The only difference is that now everyone is carrying around a videocamera on their phones so when these things happen, they get far more publicity now.

It doesn't take much to just go into a bar or restaurant and politely ask to use their toilet.

Pattaya seems to be turning into a dump.

That happened quite some time ago, my friend.

I do not think the nationality matters in cases like this, I am pretty sure the person feels ashamed already and they are trying to play detectives.

If someone stopped suddenly, it could have been an emergency. That does happen here, depending on and what and where you eat. As we know public bathrooms are almost nonexistent.
