If anyones interested I have 20 DVD's (yes DVD's) just of MP3ed essential mixes.. Approx 80GB. About 1000 something hours of choon'age..

Plus a good few 100 mix albums and sets.. The entire collection of Oakenfold urban mixes (spoken work books over choons.. Odd but interesting).

If anyone wanted to post a portable hard disc I can load it up for ya..

But do you have any music that I can dance to ?

:o

I was on a train today and I had so much to tell. The sun was turning the sky red and I just knew something. I am acid, whether I like it or not, it chose me. I now feel like a sportsman or a chef, maybe a world leader. Acid is so much part of my life, when I see the sun rising, its not the same as you do, yet I dont want to be different, its just the way it is.

Acid House has taught me how to love and respect all the challenges in life, it is part of my being. I really hope that my blip in this ocean of life has a message, even in this post. We are all togethr, Catholic, Muslim and all creeds. Children never deserve to die.

Just did a night at club lime in Phuket.. Barry Ashcroft from the dub pistols.. Top choonage !! Bit Tek house, hard but funky, with loads of well done remixes of classics.. A nice deep hard version of "youve got the love" was a standout.. Lots of other great early 90's vocal memories but done with a very up to date twist. Was great fun playing beat trainspotting with my old bud.. Tho later all became a bit 'reality impaired'..

Will be heading over to Samui after new year for a week or so.. Anything big happening over there around the 3rd to 11 ish ?? Does Gary / club gecko still do the Sunday sessions ??

I've been playing away on Youtube and having a lot of fun making videos for some of my favorite tunes

The only thing is that you have to sacrifice video quality for sound quality... basically you get Mono reproduction and that sucks.

So I've found a way around it to get good quality Stereo sound albeit at the cost to video quality.. but hey, it's all about the music.

Ok so this is in stereo, a white label House tune from around 1992, and it is FUNKY! So turn it up loud and shake your body!!

Funky Green Dogs - Reach For Me

The scroll menu at the end has a few more of my tunes, in Mono though, but all good of course.

I'd recommend 'FPI Project - Everybody' an absolute classic House belter.

Thanks for that, Robski. I could definitely dance myself into a sweat on that one.

I know it's very old school, but Soul II Soul is still one of the premium dance bands/mixes for me.

Get a Life: "So there it is, work it out for yourself - yeah, be selective, be objective, be an asset to the collective ... because, you know you got get a life."

"What's the meaning, what's the meaning of life? ... Elevate your mind, free your soul, feel the feeling, let your body take control."

Brilliant.

Excellent! I remember the Soul II Soul album when it came out and it was getting played everywhere.

There was a big cultural change here around that time, a lot less racial and cultural violence and a lot more unity and understanding.

Great music and great times. :o

And these guys are my new favorite thing right now, for their lighthearted silliness and fun.

Flight of Conchords " Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros

Yeah they're excellent, a cross between the Beastie Boys and Napolean Dynamite :o

Nice to see you in here Kat and cool toons too :o

Rob old boy - a few questions mate... I have finally subscribed to youtube but can't find the place you told me about where you guys are talking??? Next thing is I can't seem to be able to create my playlists even tho it looks dead easy! An lastly how do I stop videos stopping and starting all the time???

Cheers

Thats a lot of questions, but regarding the stop/start it sounds like you either have a poor broadband connection which i would check here..

http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?flash=1

if it is running very slowly (perhaps at peak times? 5.30 to 10.30 pm) give your service provider a call.

or your connection needs 'tweaking',

Not entirely straight forward and the guys in the computer forum will be able to help you, but basically if you're running XP and you have sole use of the connection you can 'tweak' it.. http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks

This is a classic old skool house tune by Larry Heard aka 'Mr Fingers' the tune is called 'Can You Feel It'

but this is quite a rare version I dug up that has the 'I Have A Dream' speech by Martin Luther King Jr on it.

It really used to go down a storm at wharehouse parties, a real message of love, peace and unity.

I hope you enjoy it. It's one of mine so it's in stereo too. :o

Here's a great download from a friend of mine, not so much a mix more a run through of his tunes that he just dragged out of storage

and there are some fantastic tracks in there, it runs to 70 minutes long. I hope you will enjoy it.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VI8F9UB7

It's a free hosting site for downloads, enter the three letter code and then wait 45 seconds for the free download icon to appear,

hit that, save to your desired location, download, play, turn it up, enjoy, dance, party on... burn to CD, play in car or at work, love life. :o

Classic from 1990, original version with big piano riffs and 'strings'.

Alison Limerick - Where Love Lives

Robski can you explain about the download in post #386? Looks like a dating agency :o

No it's a hosting site and they are just adverts so they can make revenue, ignore them and just enter the three letter code at the top and it will take you on to the download screen, it's well worth it beleive me.
