Did the United States airstrike a girls' elementary school and kill 175 people?

Karoline Leavitt:

Not that we know of, Sean. And the Department of War is investigating this matter, and I would just tell you very strongly, the United States of America does not target civilians. Unlike the rogue Iranian regime that targets civilians, that kills children, that has killed thousands of their own people in the past several weeks and uses propaganda quite effectively.

And unfortunately, many people in this room have fallen for that propaganda. So, I would caution you from pointing the finger at the United States of America when it comes to targeting civilians because that's not something that these armed forces do.

It's been quite obvious it was targeted but the only question that remains if it was targeted by mistake thinking it was part of the adjacent military base or whether the mass murder of school girls was intentional. Another factor is that they might not have known it was a school day.

It is perhaps measure of a how civilised a society is, how it treats those who are unable to help themselves, I would include the mentally ill and hopeless drug addicts amongst those.

Mind you, one might also consider a programme to help those unfortunates would certainly get in the way of both amassing immense wealth for a few, and amassing immense military power to bomb the living daylights out of less sophisticated countries. A difficult choice, must keep the lights burning late into the night in Washington!

There are numerous NGOs offering services for substance abusers and many offer shelter for the homeless and mentally ill. Then there is VA help for veterans. Unless violent, it is difficult to force anyone to make use of these programs. You can thank the ACLU for the release of nonviolent patients from mental institutions. The problem is that many become a danger to themselves and others once they are off medication and out on the street.

You sound like a Trump and Israel hater.

That was such an incredibly simple minded statement, let's call it the lamest statement of the day.

I would be curious how many of the so called patriots on this forum who support this war, would put their lives at risk, if the situation called for it. Or send their sons or daughters overseas, to sacrifice their lives or limbs?

It's very easy to say you're a patriot, when there's nothing at stake. Trump and Tiny Petie are like whiny 6-year-old kids, compared to a giant like Kennedy who inspired millions and dramatically improved life in America. Or a patriot like McCain, who risked life and limb for his nation.

He is a felon, a tax evader, a bank fraudster, a scammer, and the ultimate election denier. He personifies a lack of dignity and decency.

Washington and Tel Aviv now claim they’re “lowering the intensity” of their strikes so they can keep attacking longer.

Spare us this bull<deleted>.

Iran has been throwing waves of cheap drones and missiles precisely to exhaust US and Israeli weapons stockpiles, and it’s painfully obvious that strategy is working.

And there is more:

Russia and China are providing targeting data to allow Iran to successful destroy American assets.

Is it working? Let’s see:

The American satellite imaging company Planet Labs announced that it is temporarily suspending the provision of new satellite images of the Gulf countries, Iraq, and Kuwait for 96 hours during the current conflicts "to prevent almost simultaneous analysis of damage to US and allied military facilities".

However, images related to Iran are not being delayed. The company notes that this is a temporary measure and is being taken "to protect staff and operations during wartime".

And there is more:

Latest satellite images show the complete eradication of US radomes (radars) at US Arifjan base in Kuwait following Iranian strikes.

Iran is systemically blinding America and israel.

Do you really believe in what you wrote or are you only protecting investments in Iranian oil? 🤣

My mistake

What I see from this new war is that with cheap homemade hardware, a country like Iran, despite the US imposed sanctions, is able to create havoc against à 890 million daily military budget of the 2 other nations involved. It is quite scary in fact.

Other allies or rogue nations could consider that the US military supremacy is mainly a marketing issue.

Mighty brawn is no match for a nimble brain, did they say ?

A war never has a winner per se. It mainly has a number of victims on all sides.

And just how would Russia and China provide target data? Semaphore? Smoke signals? Despite Putin's claims at the start of the campaign that Russia was maintaining communication links, both Israel and the USA have been monitoring the remaining communications link and will be aware of any military information shared. More importantly, Iran's capabilities are being eroded every hour. Read Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Can Kasapoğlu's assessment of the Israeli and US targeting strategy.

  • Tehran’s missile and drone salvos have declined by roughly 70 to 85 percent since the first day of strikes, largely thanks to an aggressive hunt for Iranian missile launchers and drone launch positions. Because the US controls the skies over Iran and has unprecedented information superiority, it can now strike Iranian Shahed loitering munitions on the ground.

  • The pace of Tehran’s strikes has declined markedly since the outset of the conflict. Estimates from the

US Department of War suggest an 86 percent drop in Iran’s missile salvos and a 73 percent decrease in its drone-warfare activity since the beginning of the war. In the opening days of the operation, Iran launched roughly 350 missiles per day, and is now launching around 50.

  • A further decline in the pace of Iran’s missile and drone salvos could indicate a significant degradation of the Islamic Republic’s strike capacity, especially if Tehran stages fewer than 30 launches per day.

You say this with all seriousness and yet Israel is the new terrorist state in the Middle East. The majority of Americans no longer find themselves aligned with Israel due to their atrocious and genocidal behavior.

When the Republic was founded the expression was "never again", and yet the people to whom the worst genocide in the world was waged against are now waging genocide on their own behalf. It would appear some lessons are never learned.

There are no opposition structures that could take over, except for the Revolutionary Guard. However, the Guard currently wants to maintain the power structure because all those who share power benefit from it.

There will be no boots on the ground. Not even Kurdish fighters in the region, who are willing to assist in efforts to topple the Iranian government. Trump ruled that out.

So after the bombing Trump will say: "Mission accomplished." But this statement will be again - same as in Iraq - proved false, because the principle applies: "If you break it, you own it."

Trump uses the same communication manipulation as Bush did.

He calles on the Iranians to "take over their government." But doesen't give them the chance and the needed support against the Revolutionary Guard.

In doing so, he is only saying that he will help, but if it fails, it won't be his fault.

The typical blame game. Never his fault.
