Hmmmm was aware that it was coming when I was thinking about dates some time ago, forgot until I saw a lottery seller during the day - I don't buy tickets, GF does. I meant to mention the date over dinner last night with friends, remembered at half past eight, pity as I was meaning to present my mobile phone (I don't wear a watch.) with a flourish to display 20:08:08 08/08/08 (Yes fiddle the clock display back to 12hr format, but you get the idea.)

So the 8s are luck for the Chinese culture... ...so there should be an increase in lottery sales from 9am on Wednesday the 9th of September next year?

One point for those that follow numerology, the 9th of the Sept 2009 will be the 252^nd day of the year, 2+5+2=9 etc etc.

I belong to a Time and Cycles market trading group. Dozens of participants using many different methodologies. One of the mebers trades markets using numerology. She says there isn't anything the least bit lucky about the number 8 and 080808 is even less lucy. A couple of "financial astrologists" in there as well. They seldom agree about anything except that the star/planetary alignment for 08/08/08 is not auspicious at all and the have forebodings of the near future. Me, I've got a lucky coin I flip.
