Kawasaki 2013 Models

Featured Replies

Nice, i prefer the matt black tank and shiny plastic shroud, opposed to it being the other way around smile.png

Will you be buying one, i think i read further back in this thread that you're considering one and certain that you had an older model at some point too? smile.png

I have had 3 Ninja650R's 09-11. Blue, Green, then Black. You may remember me under my SB nic. Yes I will be buying one again. New job and WP so will be financing. I'm impatient. smile.png

Still no W800 for the Thai marketsad.png

That's my dream Kawa bike.

Yep, I'm with you on that. With no W800 available (at least not from dealers) I'm thinking seriously about a new Vulcan. I'd love to know what the 2013 colors will be. The orange on the 2012 Vulcan Custom just doesn't do it for me.

The was a loverly red Versys outside Kawasaki in Pattaya yesterday. I was quite taken with it!

Im also really wanting a vulcan custom se also and dont like the orange model. Would love to know whats next years planned colour scheme and potential release. The '10' and '11' models were a great colour scheme, hopefully something more simple and subtle like that. Anybody have any inside info?

I'm not a Cruiser guy, as they always make me think of handle bar mustaches and leather chaps, but I thought the 2012 Vulcan classic looked really good. It looked like a modern classic and a reasonable alternative to a rip off Triumph Bonneville.

Maybe you should get some chaps... And a mustache...

I think the vulcan looks nice- not my type of bike but if i looked for a cruiser here in los- then a vulcan would be on top simply because the price of a new bike!!!

I am hoping for news about a z1000sx.. Any clue???

I'm free Thursday and Friday now, Chaiyaphumi is canceled.

If Thursday is dry, i'll pop down mate, if not Friday. Is Go's shop open both days?

Looks like not coming for 2013 at least.

You should just get it from Red Baron. They can source you anything. They've got a nice brand new o'12 ZX-14 and CBR 1000RR right now. http://www.redbaronbkk.com/products/

How much is a front Dunlop for the Er6. My aqqaintence has been quoted 8.000b from Kawasaki. Sounds steep to me.

Yep 8000 - 9000B sounds about right for a pair of stock Dunlop Roadsmart II tyres.

To be honest the Pirelli Rosso II tyres (much better rubber, dual compound) will set you/him back not much more, maybe less depending on how much that dealer is asking for the stock tyres

Judging by the wear on my rear Rosso II i reckon it should last around 10,000 - 12,000km for my style of riding, which is only 2-4k less than the stock tyre :)

If anyone is interested a few of us are going on a ride tomorrow (weather permitting).

We are meeting at BP Racing on the second road opposite the Siam Bayshore hotel at 1pm.

So far there is Dollarman on his Ninja 650, Col on his immaculate Streetfighter (stealth black and carbon) and Big guns on his 795 Monster.

Oh yes and me on my er6n.

We will be stopping somewhere for a coffee and cake.

See you there.

Two days too early for me, but i'll pop down for that tyre if you're free on Thursday / Friday?

If you're not free could you send over the address for No's Shop and i'll get him to hold the moeny for ya :)

Would it happen to be a Two Brothers carbon can?

'I kinda thought that! He also told ne that the Pirelli's are quote "rubbish " '

It really depends on what an individual demands from a tyre.

Longevity and a fair amount of grip when the bike's leaned over... The stock tyre would do most just fine.

Excellent grip but with perhaps 2000km less life, then the Rosso II tyres (Still dual compound) would work wonders for you.

At the end of the day, all tyre manufactures make budget, midrange and specialised tyres, you can't go to far wrong with any of the big players.

I decided to go for the Pirelli Rosso II tyres due to the reviews they have been getting in both wet and dry conditions and they also work great as an entry level track tyre too, the shoulders on these Rosso II are super soft, they really inspire confidence when cornering and for the same price as the stock tyre (5200B for the rear)

Got only 6000 km out of the Diablo Rosso IIs. Are these the ones you're talking about? Performance was fantastic though.

Yep they're the ones... 6000km ouchhh!!

I have covered just over 4000km on the rear now and it's got plenty of life, around 60% tread remaining all over.

But i know if i was using my bike for just weekend blasts then the life expectancy would drop a fair bit, but half?? :S

Since we are on tyres anyone with Versys know about wear on Pirrelli Scorpion trail over OEM ones.

Just getting acquainted with my bike and loving it.
