The map is on Hungry Now. I've never been.

To add.

On that map it appears to be across the street from the La Boulange French bakery on 3rd road.

Seaview upstairs. Located next to the Lan Pho Na Kluea Fish Market, so expect fresh seafood.

Khao phad poo 50 baht

Khao phad talay 50 baht

Phad kraprao gung 100 to 120 baht

Total bill with drinks 240 baht.

Recommended.

Been to Caddyshack 2 times in the past week, nice clean cozy place-would not agree about old and outdated-missus really likes their Thai food. Had mince beef with chips and beans, was good, a tad shy with the beans. Worth mentioning, chips home made. I had not been for about 5 or 6 years and seem to recall that its more or less same menu, typical pub grub style.

Also, great Guinness and reasonably priced at 175B, that's cheapest I have found in Pattaya.

Staff well clued up and switched on.

Was in last week for music, Wednesday nights and was a good vibe there.

Looks pretty good to me apart from the baked beans. I know us Brits are accused of having "baked beans with everything" and I agree with that sentiment normally, but for this meal it has to be peas (normal or mushy) for me.

Of course

"De gustibus non est disputandum" / In matters of taste, there can be no disputes"

That's what we Belgian, consider as looking pretty good

Sole Meuniere :

And in the UK too. The minced beef dish looks like something you would get served in a Glaswegian greasy spoon. Ate in Caddyshack about a year ago, neither the wife nor I enjoyed the food and certainly didn't enjoy the service. We haven't considered returning.

Brief reviews of places on soi bukhao I have been to.

Chill Inn, next to Chuba Hut, several meals eaten there. Food always consistent.

They are trying hard with " specials."

Fish and Chips now one everyday reduced price, 89 baht.Tatses Ok to me.

Schnitzel with side 89 baht everyday. As above tastes Ok to me.

Full size pizzas on special Saturdays only.120 to 169 baht.

Only recently back from there, had pepperoni pizza @ 169 baht.Thin crust generous with topping.

Wine 120 a glass, water 25 baht. Beers 65/70 I think

Harry bakery, near Pattaya Tai end of bukhao.

Very limited choice, no full meals.

I have been for "Lite bite" lunches.

Filled baguettes, fresh everyday 55 baht. Pastrys 20/25 baht each. These are delicious and seem very cheap.

Nice service and consistent.

Cheap Charlies

Well I just had to try it.

Roast chicken dinner at a mere 99 baht.

Not surprised but you do of course sometimes get what you pay for.

Chicken was dry.

Veg sides good and I am not much of a veg eater.Roast potatoes OK.

Drinks prices modest..Service was above average.

Next time I want a roast I will pay more, Cafe Pittini for example, that was good on last visit.

and it seems that you haven't met the owner also, but what you have seen seems enough to never go again. Same here.

I wonder how they can even survive with the great pulcinella in front.

Not saying it's something that I would want to eat but I wouldn't be surprised if the restaurant's food cost is close enough to 33 baht, so yeah sure it's worth it in that sense.

Little update. It now seems that any restaurant in a Red Zone, will now not be able to sell Booze and must close by 7pm. Looks like our evening meal will have to be an afternoon one. From what I gather starts tomorrow. 5th

Further update: PM Prayut has changed closure at 7pm to 9pm. Minimarts close at 10pm so one hour to stock up on booze.

Couscous "on tap" at Dom Pizza Pratumnak

I've been to Dom Pizza before for pizza and while I know it's quite popular, their pizza didn't do it for me, but this review isn't about pizza, it's about couscous of all things.

Dom Pizza appears to be offering couscous all the time. Usually local French restaurants that do couscous only do it either as an irregular special or a one day or weekend thing. That's why I said couscous ON TAP at Doms Pizza.

By couscous I mean the French restaurant style version of the North African dish. Local Arabic restaurants (if any are still open here) if they have couscous usually offer it as a set menu option but the style is different.

Your couscous feast includes --

The couscous grain (Dom's version includes some chickpeas and raisins)

The vegetable soup (Dom's version was a MASSIVE portion with big chunks of vegetables, nicely seasoned)

You can spoon the soup over the grains and eat it directly, as you like.

The hot spice

Harissa North African chile sauce (yummy)

The meats.

Chicken leg

2 large spicy Merguez sausages

Smallish Lamb Shank

2 smallish beef meat balls

Order with all 4 meats -- 420 called the ROYALE

3 meats -- 350

2 meats -- 280

Free delivery to Pratumnak and general area, further areas on request

Not going to say it was the most exquisite French restaurant style couscous I've ever had because it wasn't, but it was quite decent. I had the royale -- natch. I appreciated the large serving of soup because when you eat this dish at French restaurants in house they typically offer seconds of soup if you want it, so Doms is giving the seconds automatically for delivery. So you're not losing out on the "full" experience by getting this by delivery.

Refer to their facebook page for contact information.

Call in your order for delivery direct from the restaurant.

As far as I know their couscous is not on delivery apps, but I think their pizza is.

An inexpensive, authentic Thai restaurant off Soi 4 Pratumnak.

100 thb / dish without rice is inexpensive.

Anything else is a scam.

if you show the name and menu of this place we will tell you !

Warning ! Thai food at Hungry hippo is so disgusting ! super oily and nowhere near the real taste ! Wondering if a foreigner is cooking it ?

But actually even their chili con carne is nothing to enjoy: only beans on a plate of rice, almost no meat at all !

is it just bad luck or you also had bad experience there ?

I like cheap food (not cheap actually but honest!) at places like Kiss, but this hungry hippo is the worst of any of the worst places where I ate in this country !
