Echocardiography In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Anyone who have had echocardiography (ultrasound of heart) in Bangkok and can recommend a hospital for this procedure, price etc,.

Thanks

Felt.

Yes. I had ECG at BNH in Soi Convent in Bangkok 3 years ago. I had a minimal waiting time, and they were extremely efficient.Cost including Doctor consultation etc was around B6,000.

An ECG I believe is the same as an EKG (electrocardiography) and not echocardiography which is an ultrasound exam.

Thats correct.

Btw, I just got an estimate from a well known hospital and are quoted Thb 6000,- . Unfortunately do I think they misunderstand what procedure I`m interested in because the hospital is regarded as on level with Bumrungrad but there again they estimate from 30K Baht up...

I got my EKG at Bumrungrad. I don't remember the exact price, but I was astounded how reasonable it was- paid out of pocket.

Then I had the stress test with ultrasound and it still wasn't enough to spend my time filling out insurance forms for reimbursement. And I'm cheap.

I was mistaken. The quote I referred to was echocardiography via esophagus. Echocardiography ultrasound outside your chest is in fact 5200 Baht at Bumrungrad and about that price in similar privat hospitals in Bangkok.

I went to BNH a few months ago. I've seen Dr Nopparat a few times over the years and think that he is okay. He actually did an Echo test and then a treadmill and immediately afterwards another Echo. Apparently gives much more info on how your heart is, especially if your history isn't all that wonderful.

Phone and ask for a price.
