apetley Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Direct from London seems to suggest they are not from Sweden:-) Abba Forever is a tribute band. http://www.abbaforever.co.uk/ Sent from my GT-I9003 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
steelepulse Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Pretty misleading. I was reading something somewhere that said they could be booked for 1200 pounds.
grumpyoldman Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 What ? No katoey Sammy Davis Jr. tribute guys available? 1

stevenl Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 ABBA will perform at Laguna on November 8. This says it all, has to be the real thing.
steelepulse Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 http://www.abbaforever.com/ "This Live production aims to reproduce Abba Live in Concert with particular attention to detail.Focusing on the live aspect with an exceptional all live cast, the show features the very high standard of musicianship needed to recreate Abba songs, and with all performers singing totally live, audiences are experiencing a true live performance. Packed full of excitement and vivacity, dazzling costumes and authentic lighting design, they will take you on a journey back to the 1970's. Wherever the band performs, audiences can watch and hear all of the hits and some hidden surprises for even the most ardent abba fan. Don't miss this show performing in theatres across the U.K.!"
H1w4yR1da Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 1200THB to see a tribute band? Someone's making a killing! 1
tubby johnson Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 "Direct from London, a tribute to the 70s" in tiny print. Showing the original members on the poster is grossly misleading. There are going to be some disappointed fans in the audience, and they forked out 1200 Bt for this travesty. 1
PoorSucker Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 The ABBA dvd is cheaper and REAL . I think if you buy it in Thailand it's as original as this concert.
stevenl Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 ....and how about the flooding...... You're afraid Laguna is going to flood? 1
JulesMad Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Abba and Phuket deserve each other... Abba never made real music anyway
LivinginKata Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 ....and how about the flooding...... What are you talking about ? What floods ?
chickenslegs Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 1200THB to see a tribute band? Someone's making a killing! Money, Money, Money is The Name of the Game, When all is Said and Done.
sniffdog Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 The photos of the band members of ABBA Forever do very real to the original ABBA members. Perhaps too real ... which might indicate misleading and scamming. It seems also Thaivisa plays along with the title:'ABBA tickets for sale'.
SjaakNL2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Sorry guys, this poster whas created by our Indian college. You must read ABBA Fake instead of ABBA Forever From Wikipedia.........After ABBA broke up in late 1982, Andersson and Ulvaeus achieved success writing music for the stage while Lyngstad and Fältskog pursued solo careers with mixed success 1
beautifulthailand99 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 And that for me sums up the problem with Thailand for me I like music, bands, festivals, theatre and live in London and am well served with plenty to do and see. If an Abba tribute band is the event of the year (I have seen them though and it is a good night out !) then that just highlights the paucity of the entertainment offering.
baboon Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 In my opinion, the headline was designed to mislead and the organisers and sponsors know this. I have no doubt the band will provide an enjoyable show, but it is not ABBA: No, once again a money making venture provided by chancers out to make a fast buck.
beautifulthailand99 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Thailand - global hub for finest quality copies.....
MAJIC Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 The real and original four members of ABBA? The Magic words are: a Tribute to, should be good though!
MAJIC Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 1200THB to see a tribute band? Someone's making a killing! Money, Money, Money is The Name of the Game, When all is Said and Done. Thank you for the music. 1
MAJIC Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 A bit naughty to use ABBA real photo's on the Poster,TIT. i'm sure ABBA will not even bother to sue the Promoters, they are making too much money, with worldwide multi shows of the musical "Mama Mia" to bother with trivialities.
bunta71 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Not on my bucket list...even if they paid me.
Thaddeus Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 The real and original four members of ABBA? The Magic words are: a Tribute to, should be good though! Didn't have my glasses on
