Let Suthep and his thugs continue to behave like mad dogs on the lose.

If they don't find anyone to fight with they probably will start to fight between themselves (like his "students" always used to do)

Keep the pressure up. If this Government goes down you won't be able to use your 2 Mio THB card for anything else than scraping the soap residue from your shower tiles.

Also blue sky picture it Thai airways tg ticket booked by yingluk for South Africa

Just announced it is fake

Blue sky joke?

They are now waging a media war these violent anti-government thugs.

Expect lies lies and more lies to be spewed by them as they try to hide their violence and dsigusting behaviour.

Thai PBS was the only "neutral" TV station out there - its why they went their first to take it over and stop them reporting all the bad stuff they are doing - Suthep you are a disgusting person - and where is Abhisit - in South Africa hiding ? Why is he not condemning the violence and attempted coup.

You keep saying the same thing over and over again.

I don't agree with you, but that's ok, but please stop using the word 'thugs' in every sentence.

Disgusting. Despicable. Thugs. Bla bla bla.

Constant repetition of the same rhetoric. His keyboard must be covered in froth.

I'll be glad when this protest is over.

Trouble for you guys is the truth and usually

The first casualty in war.

Thai PBS has been under attack or so they say (and they are the most neutral broadcaster)

And I watched on blue sky earlier them displaying yingluk's ticket and it's an old cancelled trip.

Mind you that's Thai pbs for you.

Maybe you refuse to believe what they say.

Maturity from the red shirts? Why have they blocked access for police to rescue the 2,000 students at RU while possible snipers are looking down on those students. This is not only immature, but the leaders need to be held 100% accountable for these actions. Depriving those in need of public assistance is criminal.

The red shirts are government supporters. if the government agreed with them that they should go home now, as I suspect has happened, then it can only mean one thing. That thing is simple, that the government sees that the anti-government protestors need to be fought and removed by force. So, once the red shirts are safely out of the way and once the protestors have been asked to go peacefully and refused, the army and police will move in and use force. My guess is the use of force will start next Saturday.

Of course they need to be fought. You can't let them hijack government buildings.

How wise was it to bus in 70,000 red shirts to a stadium that is a stone's throw from Thailand's largest university?

At least one side is showing some maturity and common sense and wants an end to the violence. Now if only the yellow shirts would grow up and follow the lead and put an end to this Kaos.

Yeah, yeah like they did in 2010. Playing the martyr more like. You don't even know what side fired the gun.

anyone seen any photos of this alleged fire? from looking at the stadium I can see no smoke or fire and have not heard gun shots in a couple hours, But I cannot actually see the fly over on Ramkam

Currently, the Yellows just cannot win this. If they somehow managed to seize the government, the angry Isaan Reds would start flooding into Bangkok and eventually, would seize the government back. The level of violence and chaos would be extremely bad. Most of the army grunts are also supporters of the Reds.

Wiser than to seize government buildings, harass people, intimidate the press, attack a 10yr old child, whistle in the ear of whoever has a different opinion, hire thugs ("students") to incite confrontation, use all kind of dirty tricks, assault busses and taxis transporting peaceful protesters, shoot at people...

The reds have been very wise, that's for sure. We cannot say the same of the Dems who have been supporting all these crimes.

Ramkhamhaeng University rector Wutthisak Larpcharoensap told Channel 3 at 11:55 am that red-shirt people burned tyres to block police trucks from reaching the university to evacuate trapped students.

The rectors said the student could not leave the campus through the front gate either because some "men in black" on a flyover fired at them.

Channel 3 said some 2,000 students were still trapped in the university.

And the Red Shirt sympathizers here have the chutzpah to go on about the anti-government protesters being thugs.

FWIW, the only clear evidence of firearms I´ve seen is a Red Shirt guard firing a handgun.

There is a least one blatant fabrication in there, that calls to question the validation of some others.

Can someone please explain to me what's currently going on at Ramkhamhaeng. I keep reading reports of trapped students and students being evacuated. How are they trapped? Reports aren't very clear - is it because of Red Shirts or the fact that the road is closed?

The problem has been solved and the students are able to leave again. There were reports of snipers at 1 exit and fires set by red shirt protesters at the other exit to prevent anybody from leaving.

Other than the attack on a 10 year old child (which has been proven to be false) and the whistles, you could be talking about either group. But if I remember correctly, the reds used guns, not whistles.

Suthep will achieve nothing by all this except to ensure that the chance of the Democrats winning any future election ( if any at all ) is now more remote than ever. Had the Democrats just sat pat until the next election, the governments own inept running of the country would have been enough to ensure their electoral defeat. As it stands now , the democratic process itself is under attack and the Democrats and Pad just look like a bunch of sore losers who are willing to make a grab for power any way it suits them regardless of any further damage ( on top of Phua Thais ) done to the country. They carp on about corruption yet even Sondhi acknowledged that there is more graft under the democrats than Phua Thai, the only difference being that instead of one family and friends grabbing the lions share, it is distributed into the patronage system as per usual.

In any event, the reds always learn from the yellows. It will be just as easy for them to copy all these tactics if the government is brought down and we have already seen that they can muster large support if necessary. Should that happen the only way out of the impasse would be for the army to start shooting again , but this time with a much larger casualty list. The army must know this and the consequences that would inevitably result for Thailands standing in the international community.

Apparently the students (blackshirts) blocked the exits from the stadium and there are snipers so the reds are crawling out literally round the back

Perhaps channel 7 will be broadcasting Suthep wall to wall soonThey're attempting to control the media

If truth be known it was probably the puppet master who ordered the withdrawal of the Red Shirts.

There is remember Red Shirt factions that opposes the current amnesty bill proposals and along with Jutuporn getting just a little too big for his boots and his inflammatory remarks inciting violence with fatal results has caused the puppet master to actually understand just how precarious his position is.

If we consider that the scenario thus.

Suthep anti govt group is the army of Athens in the Peloponnesion wars. The Athens army achieved their victory in those wars due to their enemies turning on each other.

We are all well aware of the potpourri that constitutes the Red Shirt pro government movement as well as the politicians and their spheres of self interest and self preservation thus the withdrawal tactic to try to unite the Red Shirt factions and also to rein in the more assertive ( loose cannons) leaders who now are usurping Thaksin and his ilk.

Good to see the sensible red shirts call off their protest due to the disgusting violence from Sutheps Yellow/PAD/Democrat anti-government thugs.

Well done reds - you have shown how to be sensible and mature.

But now a coup is going on - the Democrat supporters/Yellow Shirts/PAD under the guise of "anti-governemt thugs" are now bringing violence to the streets of Bangkok - they are in the process of trying to put a coup in place. They are seizing government buildings - this is a coup.

Hopefully they will get rounded up and tried for treason.

An absolute disgrace these disgusting anti-government violent thugs are.

Just to put another perspective on your comment, the Thai people feel as they are being raped by the current government. What would you do? Also, the violence seemed to have started once the reds got involved, as usual.

Also, this may have been said already (I don't have time to read all the posts), but I think that the red shirts have been called off because if there's too many more deaths then YL will be in the same position as Abhisit, and will have to face murder charges. Not good for T, can't be or he would have already ordered action.

Sad thing is, I don't see an 'end game' for either side, unless Thaksin does the right thing and comes home to face the music. Not gonna happen.

Oh, those valiant, unselfish, yellow Bangkokians just want what is best for Thailand! cheesy.gif.pagespeed.ce.HaOxm9--Zv.gif Yeah, sure, whatever, pal! The Red shirt movement started because nobody listened Isaan farmers or any other poor folks and the Bangkok elite plus the greedy middle class there wanted all the goodies for themselves at the expense of those poor folks.

Just waiting for magenta to agree and/or use the same lines. And no doubt he will add some spin about a coup, seems to one his latest key / play it again as often as possible words.

All points debated to death and IMHO very well debunked many many times before.

Question 1, who mobilized the reds ?????/ who finished up with THEIR money in the end ????? the poor farmer ????? or I have a good Idea it was this lot in power that benefitted. Just to prove it what did they implement after taking office.

Half the people were earning that already--- 300 bht a day .

All the students were to be issued with a pad ( not Samsung that the PM did show)

15,000 bht uni student start wage.

Rubber--Flood--Rice scam--syphoning off of money allocated to counties meant for roads, etc

So please tell me how different your red army bosses to the BKK elite ???
