BANGKOK: -- The Department of Special Investigation has asked the Siam Commercial Bank to unfreeze the bank accounts of protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban and 37 other leading figures of the protest movement.

What's so funny about that? The report doesn't say when it was delivered.

cant wait for this moron to face court on charges of overstepping his authority and using personal bias in his decisions, like chalerm he needs to actually stop and think before following thaksions orders to the letter.

DSI cannot seem to understand the common thread to police work, police are there to uphold the law, the courts are there to interpret the law, the DSI has no right to order the freezing of bank accounts, until an application is made to the court and keep in mind those banks / people that carried out this request can be charged , including DSIbah.gif

As we wonder why an " urgent " appeal on February 21 to carry out a directive was not released until February 25, this is nonetheless unmistakably good news. It was utterly, utterly ridiculous that the academic and national, cultural icon Dr. Seri was ever investigated, but there you have Chalerm's nasty vindictive campaign out in full focus. The DSI and CMPO are now in the lack-luster position of trying to continually dodge court rulings that inconveniently work against their narrative.

It's a trap. Chalerm's idea. He wants to pounce on them when they go shopping.

Sounds like a change of power is slowly creeping upon us.

Sounds like Tharit realises this. I invite people to read about his past, his "personal bias" changes depending on who's in power.

They should use these funds to pay the rice farmers.

I love the way the courts always come down on the side of Suthep. Who is the real power behind this guy?

Why should these funds be used to pay the farmers what the CARETAKER GOVERNMENT OWES?

The debt to the farmers is owed by the PTP caretaker government,

NOBODY ELSE.

Seems then this was an unlawful action.

I hope Suthep and the others sue for the hardship and missed investment opportunities lost due to the freezing of their assets, and I hope it will be those that gave the orders not the ones who carried them out they sue.
