Compare this case to the case of Alice who has been found murdered in the UK today after a month being missing (big news in the UK)......we could literally be on different planets as to how they have been investigated.

Biggest man hunt since 7/7 terrorist attacks too.

C'mon folks, we know this whole thing is a farce.

They need something to show the international media that they care, when they don't.

What they need is a good screenwriter.

Prediction: they'll take it into ambiguity, wait it out, then it will be forgotten. Maybe a year from now it will be revealed that it was a murder/suicide, the farang killed his gf for submitting to group sex, then killed himself. I wonder why they haven't come up with that already.

The LIBLABCON are 100% to blame for this innocent girls death, they are the scum who let this murderer and many like him waltz into the country unchecked.

But yes as someone who despises the British police they have excelled here and have named their man.

Out of interest ...why 3 days why not today? are you kicking the can down the road again...delay tactic?

What a question!, everyone knows it takes about 3 days to brief -khm, beat into- the newly found, non-thai speakers when to smile and nod for the friendly TV crews.

There was a CCTV shot of David shaking hands with a Thai in the 1st releases of CCTV pics, it appears David didn't know the guy.

All reference and follow up pics have left this scene out...why?

We, now know, that the 'other' suspect was caught on the running video and that the video has been tampered with time shots.. You can see him briefly on bottom left of the video running in front of suspect. It has to be played in slow motion near end of tape to catch sight of him.

I've been through a fair amount of Thai facebook, news etc.....they feel as we farangs do.

I heard that FBI and Scotland Yard were doing their own investigations undercover and know exactly what the Thai Police are doing. Charge the wrong people for this and the entire Thai Police force will have to be sacked in front of the world....now that's a BIG loss of face.....karma. I was going to mention this earlier on in the investigation but decided to let them run with this entire disgusting excuse of an investigation.

Also, I'd imagine that human right groups will be called in to save the poor sucker fitted up for this.

No offence mate but do you really believe that?

And the entire Thai police force sacked in front of the world??

Im hoping yours is a piss take post and that you dont actually believe what you have posted.

Good source, I find it amusing..it's headline news around the globe. There have been suggestions also that the Brit's will be turning up en masse at the Thai Embassy if this goes awry.

Arrest warrant ? That's a new one . Everyone else they've just grabbed and held, including a couple of Brits . How do you know if you will have enough evidence in 3 days or not ? . You either have the evidence or you don't

We had a girl abducted and murdered in America. The alleged murderer left and went cross country. The FBI found him a week later.

This incident is going to be terrible for tourism. Thailand stands to lose millions of dollars. Competition is also fierce. Thailand isn't the only game in town anymore. I know a few people who are scared and have gone to Vietnam instead.

All the Thais i know are very angry and sickened by this horrific event and want justice for Hannah & David. Facebook especially on CSI LA's page is full of comments demanding that the student suspect and influencial people (suspects) in Koh Tao be dna tested properly. If you're innocent why hide? Initially my knee jerk reaction was anger at all Thais and that was wrong of me because the murderer and anyone covering up for them are $#@# sick #$@# and are shaming the otherwise good people of this country. This leads me to believe that that good will prevail and the real murderers will be caught in the end.

I agree, the bulk of thai people are decent folks. We are seeing the worst of the worst in this case. I hope to God that this case sees justice served. Sadly, I think heinous events of this magnitude have occurred many many times in Thailand, but because of the international outcry, and social media, the cops are being forced to pretend that they are trying to solve the case. May justice prevail, not only for the killers, but for the cops who try to derail the case for a change..

And that Sean is eerily quiet isn't he.

Police confident to arrest suspects in Koh Tao murder in 2 days

9-27-2014-1-06-33-PM-wpcf_728x413.jpg

BANGKOK: -- Police are confident that they will be able to issue warrant for the arrest of or arrest the suspects in the September 15 murder of two British bakcpackers on Koh Tao in a few days, said Pol Lt-Gen Panya Mamen, acting assistant national police chief, said today.

He disclosed that police had narrowed down the number of suspects to about ten who are to be requestioned. These ten suspects who include Thais, foreigners and Myanmar migrant workers were at the AC Bar on Koh Tao on the night of September 15 between midnight to 4.40 am of the following day.

Pol Lt-Gen Panya said that although these group of suspects were not held in custody after they were once questioned they are being closely watched by plainclothes policemen to prevent them from escaping.

He explained that these suspects were to be questioned again because police had obtained some evidences which he declined to disclose but which are linked to the forensic evidences.

He said that police could not rush to conclude the case and had to pursue the case carefully to make sure that the real culprit or culprits are apprehended.

Pol Lt-Gen Panya also dismissed as groundless an allegation made by one suspect, Pornprasit Sukdam, that he was tortured by police to implicate others of being the suspects in the murder.

You know it can't be true. Since when have the police had the self control not to disclose evidence? I am surprised they did not give the suspects names and date and time of their upcoming arrest.

Too bad CNN, FOX, BBC news did not follow this story closely! I think they would love this type of story, following the Thai Keystone Cops!

A little confusing that the warrant cannot be issued now, is it necessary to warn people first?

Lets just hope if they plant it on guys from Burma the media doesn't accept it.

I smell another "Red Bull" situation and now it seems they are looking for a scapegoat. Mixing incompetence and corruption does not produce a very good result.

Wouldn't that headline look better if it said "Murder Suspect(s) Arrested".
