Visa run- stamp in

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I arrived by air about a month ago and now have to go to a border and get a 14 day stamp, can anyone recommend the border I head for?

I used to drive by my moped to Burma every 3 months when I was in Chiang Mai, is that recommendable here in the south or am I better off going with a tour company?

Any idea how much it will cost ? If anyone is doing a visa run this week and fancies a passenger to assist with petrol, I'd be up for that too.

Do you have a history of border runs?

If so, they might refuse you.

In this case better head for Penang and get a proper tourist visa.

A few options for you:

I think EVE still runs. Contact 0815352637

or

http://www.kbv-phuketvisarun.com/phuket-visa-run-andaman-club/

Both include lunch, boat, 10$ fee, the whole works.

Or

Rideshare https://www.facebook.com/groups/1402002616711342/

Or

A quick flight to KL or Singapore

Thanks mate, I'll check those out

I do but I haven't been in thailand for over 2 years , will that affect? Is it quite common to refuse as they never used to for land crossings...?

You might be able to do one border run.

You can now apply for a 30 day extension of your 30 day visa exempt entry at immigration (new rules). Cost will be 1900 baht.

By the way, you know that you can get 30 days extension on your 30 day visa exempt stamp at immigrations for 1.900 baht.

New rule.

Oh really??

That sounds pretty good, what's the process involved ? Do I need to provide certain documents?

Just a completed TM7 application form with a photo attached. Copies of passport photo page, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card.

Cool thx

So when u say completed , are you there at the moment?

No

Completed means a form with all the blanks filled in.

No

Why be sarcastic? I'm guessing that you're filling in/ filled the form at the immigration office, just wanted to know if you were there at the moment.

I doubt that Joe is being sarcastic. He is trying to be helpful. Read his initial post again. He did not say he had just completed the application. He was just trying to explain that YOU just complete the form.

I don't agree.

Anyways it's not important , better just to stick on topic

bizzle you asked joe " Do I need to provide certain documents? " and he helpfully replied " Just A completed TM7 aplication form with etc, etc, "

He did not say he had just completed any form, what gave you the idea that he was at immigration??

What is wrong with you, people are trying to help you by saving you an unnecessary border run and you are

giving them a hard time, go waste your time and money doing an unnecessary border run, you don't deserve

anyones help. wub.png

a tm7 can be downloaded and then completed prior to arriving at local immigration office, or can all be completed upon arrival at local office.

Just a thought why did you not get a suitable visa prior to arrival, instead of playing the border run game, there is a clamp down on border runs at the moment due to some people abusing the system, and i do appreciate plans can change.

Really really easy

Got there 11.00am on Tuesday with no paperwork, photos etc.

Did everything on site and was back on the road by 11.50

Hopefully all immigrations will take note as this couldn't have been easier.
